Tim: You sent me across the globe because you thought the Joker might have been alive?

Bruce, innocent of all chargers: Hm.

Dick, nonchalant: Yeah? What did you think it was?

Tim: I thought he was feeling depressed over Jason again!

Dick: Out of curiosity, do you mean that in a "depressed over Jason so he sent me away" or "depressed over Jason so he wanted to do something nice for me" kinda way?

Tim: ...Yes?

Dick: Timmy...

Tim: What? Like your relationship with him was so perfect back then.

Tim: Wait...I wasn't even Robin back then. Like, I was barely allowed to train with Alfred and Dick. Why would you send me away from Gotham if I wasn't even Robin?

Bruce: ...

Bruce: Something could have happened to you.

Tim, staring: Like what?

Bruce: You were a very curious and nosy child. For all I knew, you could have hacked into my system, stolen a Robin suit, and taken on the Joker on your own to prove yourself.

She probably just never told the government and assumed small town = they won’t notice or care, lied that it was concrete on the inside or something if anyone asked and prayed nobody would snitch (and subsequently get waxed along with any wayward safety inspector), but it’s funnier to think of it like this:

Tim - bravery OR patience or both aka masky/Tim in that order

Jessica - determination (if I count the comics)

i actually like that kara won’t wear the suit for most of the movie. kara’s problems are just that — kara’s problems, not supergirl’s. kara can be "messy" in her personal life, but supergirl, to her, is about helping people.
