Alright, by piecing together some clues from the show and making some educated guesses, I’ve put together a tentative chronology for Rise!

(Note: not all episodes are included, just a couple that either have timeline evidence or are somehow plot notable. This is assuming the canonical episode order is also chronological order.)

1600s-ish: The Shredder was created and sealed away 1960: Splinter was born 1966: Splinter’s mother left (Finale part 1 flashback) 1979: Splinter left for America (Finale part 1 flashback) 1980-1984: Splinter became an action film star, dated around 1984: Splinter started dating Big Mama 1987: Splinter’s “Hot Soup: the Game” was released 1989: Splinter proposed to Big Mama, was imprisoned in Battle Nexus November 2002: April was born April-August 2003: (Presumably) Raph was born April-August 2004: (Presumably) Leo and Donnie were born April-August 2005: (Presumably) Mikey was born October 2005: Splinter and the Turtles were mutated February 2014: The first Lair Games was held 2014-2016: Donnie made his first battleshell, goggles, and tech bracer Early 2018: Piebald was flushed August 2018: Mystic Mayhem (the series begins), Down with the Sickness September 2018: The Turtle Tank was created (The Fast and the Furriest), Bug Busters, Hypno part Deux October 2018: Bullhop,  Evil League of Mutants, Shelldon was first created (Smart Lair), Shadow of Evil November 2018: April’s 16th Birthday (Warren and Hypno), April meets Sunita (Operation: Normal) December 2018: Snow Day January 2019: S1 Finale February 2019: The sixth Lair Games was held (Lair Games), Repairin’ the Baron March 2019: Air Turtle May 2019: S2 Finale

for the turtle’s birthdays i looked up each species’s mating season, hatch season, copulation time, and incubation time to help try to guess their birthdays. copulation time is how long it takes after mating for a female to lay eggs which is about 3 to 6 weeks. incubation time is how long it takes for the eggs to hatch. the incubation time could be affected by environmental factors and temperatures, but from what i’ve read it varies depending on species. i’ll try my best to keep the information consistent but the amount of research i can do depends on the species.

raph- snapping turtles typically mate during april and may (but it can extend to november) and it takes the eggs 80 to 90 days to incubate. the incubation time depends on environmental factors/temperatures but raph’s egg could have been poached during his incubation period. so assuming raph’s bio mom layed eggs as early as april 21st and as late june 21st, his birthday would be around june 10th to september 19th. but generally eggs are hatched between august through october.

donnie- spiny softshells typically mate in may and it takes the eggs 2 to 3 months to incubate. as far as i know i don’t think environmental factors or temperatures affects incubation time (there was nothing on it for spiny softshells). so assuming donnie’s bio mom layed eggs as early as may 22nd and as late as june 21st, his birthday would be around july 21st to september 21st. but eggs generally are hatched between august through september. note donnie is older than leo.

leo- red ear sliders typically mate between march and july and it takes 59 to 112 days to incubate. the incubation time depends on environmental factors/temperatures but leo’s egg could have been poached during his incubation period (higher temperatures = shorter incubation time). so assuming leo’s bio mom layed eggs as early as march 21st and as late as august 21st, his birthday would be around may 19th to december 11th. note leo is younger than donnie.

I figure that since Splinter had no way of knowing exactly when any of the turtles were hatched, he would have just… chosen some random days to act as their birthdays? And whatever days he chose would probably have to have been between May and August, since they never celebrated a birthday in the show, and my timeline has every month between August and May accounted for (it says april in the post but it should be may, it’s too late to edit now oops).

That’s getting kind of into headcanony territory, though, so this more biological speculation is SUPER welcome! I also really like the idea of them having biologically accurate birthdays

Took a bit of time to myself to finally sketch out my vision for Frida based off Andy Suriano’s Farewell. More design thoughts under the cut.

Seriously, the hotel guests could have been characters developed from the early concepts including Mimzy, Baxter, Crymini, and even Villa. Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb joined but it was muddled down by squishing in the heaven plot line that shouldn't have been there when we are not yet establishing characters. Seriously, by getting as much guests as possible you could work towards developing side characters we can come to enjoy and attach ourselves. They don't have to be the center of every episode but we can see them converse among the main cast and their fellow patrons so we can feel the hotel is thriving and might have a chance. Also we can have different characters try out the hotel for different motives than redemption like Mimzy using Al to hide her from loan sharks and she obliges. Cherri Bomb joining to be near to Angel Dust and gradually dropping her more toxic enabling traits to become a better person for his sake.

Seriously, there was so much potential in patron hunting yet it was thrown away to get too fast to the grand stuff. That would mean leave Lucifer for season three so that the heaven half can be used for later but be in the lingering background. I could see each patron coming in and having their own song that tells about themselves and their motives in life. I also would loved it to show how they got into hell and none of that I am a victim of society bs, but genuine things they did in life that condemned them and then realize over the series they need to improve themselves to become better people.

I’ve been doing more research into poker terminology for obvious reasons, and I’ve recently learned about this little token that indicates which player is the dealer for that round. They can come in various colors, but an image search revealed that gold is among the most common.
