So a few years ago I had this idea where SY introduces DnD to QJP as "strategy training" and SQH ends up coming over every week or so to be the DM. (Ofc all of the scenarios are written by SQH) (under SY's supervision bc you can't trust that man) and SY helps with monster-related stuff and convincing YQY to let SQH spend more time outside of An Ding Peak (or smth idk)

Anyway 3 years later here's a short comic inspired by this idea

We know from the 79 extras that he has always been taking care of children. As a child slave himself, he took younger slave children under his wing, taking care of them as best he could. He would break fights between them, he would share his warmth and his last bites of food with them, he literally jumped in front of a horse to protect a child.

His biggest regret in life is not being able to take care of one child in particular, little slave number 9, Xiao Jiu, who got bought and locked up by a sadistic young nobleman because of the incident mentioned above. In order to save this child, he entered himself into a cultivation sect where he worked himself to the bone in order to become strong enough and save that slave kid. He crippled himself by pushing himself too hard in order to come there faster, and ended up locked up in a cave full of spiritual energy so that he would survive - and he would claw at the walls until he bled because he wanted to save that child so badly. Coming back to that nobleman's estate to find it burned down and hearing that no men from that mansion had survived completely RUINED Yue Qi.

Later he found out that the boy he was trying so hard to save had survived, but was turned by his life experience into a mirror of his abuser, which had then led to this boy's(now man's) downfall at the hands of his own victim, Luo Binghe - yet another child Yue Qingyuqn was unable to protect.

When Luo Binghe uses Xiao Jiu as bait for Yue Qingyuan, the latter walks into an obvious trap because he would rather die than not even try to rescue Xiao Jiu a second time.

Yue Qingyuan clearly has an endless wealth of love and nurturing and he needs to have children that he can take care and protect and nurture and love.
