Even leave you. I can do that, and I will. I can do anything. Even leave you.

I forgot my body was mine, but I remember everything now— every word you spoke and every flinch you caused.

I'm not afraid anymore.

And the dried flowers will eventually fall down from the tree that begged them to stay for a little longer— flowers that were meant to be fruits, yet their beauty and their truest selves were suppressed by the ancient tree that expected order and their obedience like religion.

And they'll lie by the roots that haven't been able to breathe, buried in dirt and the illusion of relief only the peace and generosity of water could give them.

And I'll watch from a distance as the petals fall in a dance, haunted and damaged by the sickly branches that once held them— dead from the grip and the fall, but finally and completely free.

And I'll remember that I'm not afraid to do the same.

Because I do not fear the hands that once caged me under the pretense of helping me grow.

I've ripped myself away from those branches and fallen beneath the soil— an attempt to erase the roots of corruption from existence and save the rest.

Lifeless, but I'd rather watch the others grow.

And now, I can do anything.
