literally ok so not a funny story but kind of funny? when I was nine I encountered rape in a book and I was like hey mom what’s this mean and she explained it and I was like oh. gross. and then like two weeks later a girl on the bus abruptly disclosed her csa and we were all like ????? what ???? but I was like wait hang on there’s a word for that ☝️🤓 and explained what it meant and that it was illegal and that you could talk to a teacher or my mom if it had happened to you and everyone was like ohhhhh I see I see and very somberly comforted the girl (she was safe she was removed from her home and living with my neighbor at the time so it wasn’t Urgent)
And this is a perfect illustration of why it is important for kids to read or variety of things, and why abusers don’t want them to.

my favoritest thing in hermitcraft fanfiction is when it takes place in a pseudo-minecraft fantasy realm but the hermits are still sometimes described with their nationalities. like okay this is a world where magic exists and you can respawn after you die and the entirety of reality sometimes gets new features added and new worlds can be created out of thin air, each with their own accompanying otherworldly pocket dimensions, and some people have special admin powers that allow them to alter the fabric of reality, and gods/cosmic horror monsters/a weird cult called the Watchers may or may not inhabit the spaces in between existence. also Canada exists. Since finishing my exams I've already received two stress dreams in the past month, both being related to textiles.
And while it was an absolute beast of a subject that I lost a lot of sleep over and skipped meals and broke down and just generally sacrificed my health, still. Like damn. Was it that deep?
I had a dream recently where I was taking the textiles exam in a computer lab with a bunch of art and textiles students, and I left to discover someone had wondered in and moved all of my stuff to use a computer. In a fit of rage I stole some of their snacks and was later devastated to learn someone had eaten half of my stolen twix when I wasn't looking.
I would analyse that but I'd actually rather not

On one hand I get it. Because obviously it's so stressful. It's okay to get frustrated. But when you take it out on your students, all of which are under or just turned 18... it's not great. Especially when you target specific people repeatedly.
I think the funnest thing about being exhausted both physics and socially is loosing all the bones in your body. Then you just...flop. Ragdoll style, either onto a nearby person, a bed, sofa, table, or just collapse to the ground
