"Go ahead," Jack laughs, leaning his head back against the door as Robby sniffs him from shoulders down, giving him a soft lick on the neck. Robby visibly calms down the longer he takes in Jack's scent, welcoming him back into the house.

It turns out that it’s definitely not hate that Jack is feeling.

Work is still really, really, really kicking my butt hard, which sucks. Every week I think it‘ll be better, but it hasn‘t been in almost two months. Picture me as the meme with the dog in the burning house, convincing myself that I‘m fine… well, maybe I‘ll have to look for something else in August, anyways.

But I‘m happy to hear about your upcoming trips!! With pride, I assume it‘s a big deal, like huge parades, events and stuff? I‘ve never been to pride tbh, but I might go to a tiny local one next month, the first one in that town.

i encourage you to go to pride, it really is such a breath of fresh air and community. every pride is different, but the one i usually go to is a parade and a street fair full of vendors, queer small businesses and a ton of local resources for the unhoused, addicts, suicide hotline information, mental health resources, sexual health resources, things like that!!

there are usually activist booths too, i usually sign petitions and preach to the choir and come home with a bag full of pamphlets. there is also usually a lot of free stuff! seriously, i come home with so much even though i do some paid shopping too. i will post my haul this year.

i can't handle too much noise, but it being outside and daytime makes it easier for me to deal with the loud music. but i am always more focused on the street fair than watching the parade, and anyway it's hard to get a good spot to watch from the barricade unless you're there super early, so i just spot what i can lol. take a lot of pictures, get some food and an overpriced lemonade, etc. i am excited and i will post about my experience this year !!
