Shel Silverstein predicting ChatGPT in 1981
tbh i think this poem is better served with the *whole* picture, don't you?
...Oh yeah.
I need help finding a fic, im pretty sure it was a bsd x bnha crossover fic where Gin was sent into the league and atushi (im not sure if it was him or a different character š, please correct me if im wrong) was sent to UA or something similar, however i remember one scene where he gets attacked by gin for the second time (the first was the usj i think if i remember correctly) and gets stabbed in an ally and calls present mics radio show for help and border line traumatised him and they used the excuse of her always killing her victims or something similar but i really want to revisit this fic again
The Jewelry Shop
DP x DC Prompt
Danny and Jazz had always liked their aunt Selina from their dad's side of the family. She always brought them gifts that they liked. She was the one to keep reminding their parents about them whenever she visited.
When the accident in the portal happened, Aunt Selina was the first adult to know of Danny's secret, and she kept it a secret. Something Selina has done to help Danny is to get some dirt on one Vlad Masters when Danny complained about him to her. The dirt in question is some pretty juicy dirt that will definitely ruin Vlad. Should he even think about killing her dear brother and laying a finger on her nephew, she told him herself. And Vlad can't do a thing to Selina, as she has a Specter Deflector always on her person to defend against him, all thanks to her nephew, which had been modified to be a designer belt because of her niece and her nephew's friend.
And because of Selina being part of Jazz and Danny's life, they've developed a skill to tell the difference between real and fake jewelry and gems.
When the Nasty Burger explosion happens during Danny's 17th birthday, he and Jazz are the only survivors, as Jazz stayed at Fentonworks to get Danny to be ready for his birthday. They work fast, taking their parents' work and destroying the portal and anything else they can't take before the likes of Vlad or the GIW can take them. Then they flee to Gotham, where their Aunt Selina lives, and since Aunt Alicia isn't fit to raise Danny currently, Vlad is definitely out of the question. She is the only one to keep Danny in a "safe" home to live in until he's an adult.
The jewelry in the Royal Vault that Danny inherited along with Pariah's Keep and the Ghost King title are mainly just for decoration. But the use they serve is to give Danny enough money in the living world to afford his college tuition.
After some brainstorming, it was a unanimous decision to sell the useless jewelry for Danny's tuition (and for Aunt Selina to keep a few for herself).
So Selina pulled a few strings (not telling Bruce and the rest of the Batfam anything) to get her niece and nephew a shop to sell all those jewelry that aren't even Enchanted in any way.
Sam wants to be disowned, but it won't happen unless she does something big. So she, Danny, and Tucker set up a fake "cheater" scenario.
It's well known that Sam and Danny are dating. It's less well known that Sam, Danny, and Tucker are dating.
Tucker is the newest addition to their love life, having agreed that he wanted to take that step. That being said, the only ones who know that it's now a polycule instead of a couple are the three of them.
So.
Danny and Tucker stage having a makeout session at a Charity Function in Star City, and Sam pretends to walk by while they're doing that.

DpxDc #8
Sleeping like the dead.
Danny has died and came back.
He obviously knows that, his friends and sister know that, but he may have forgotten the consequences of it.
Mainly, his now numerous āhealth issuesā that other people (outside of Amity) would find⦠worrying.
Thatās why he was denied access to the space program, or why the universities denied him scholarships, fearing he might not actually be able to finish their programs.
Danny didnāt really want to ask his parents for money either.
He knew they didnāt have a savings account for him, and he was actually trying to distance himself from them when he saw them finally keeping their promise of tearing apart ghosts āmolecule by moleculeā.
Lots of jobs wouldnāt hire him because of his āhealth conditionsā, so he decided to leave Amity Park and travel to Gotham.
Getting help from Tucker, he found out about a grandfather (on his fatherās side) who lived there and, after contacting him, offered Danny a place to stay until he found a job.
The address brought him to an⦠absolutely gigantic mansion, his jaw dropped to the floor as he stared at it.
Smiling at him, an old man with a sharp mustache offered Danny his hand.
āIt is lovely to meet you, Danny. Certainly a surprise, but a welcome one.ā
Danny smiled back, shaking it.
Alfred Pennyworth had a son, once. A son who decided to cut him off after college due to his growing obsession with the occult.
It was later that he found employment with the Waynes, missing his son every day and, admittedly, projecting a little on Bruce, loving him as his own.
After decades of silence, his apparent nephew contacted him out of the blue, asking for help.
Nobody could blame him for jumping at the occasion, so it was like this that (DNA test confirmed it) Danny Pennyworth Fenton started his training as a butler in Wayne Manor.
------------------------------------------------
It wasn't much later that Alfred noticed something wrong with the boy.
The slow breathing, the pale skin and occasional twitching.
Introducing him to the Waynes was chaos, as expected, but a couple of weeks later, everybody behaved like Danny had always been there, which was nice.
And, soon enough, there were more people noticing his nephew's odd behaviors.
On top of everything observed before, they noticed the nose bleeds, the way his skin would take a blue tint to it, the way he wouldn't use his left arm for a day or two...
Then one night, Alfred peered Danny's door open, like he did for every guest in the house, and he saw him.
His nephew, under the covers, perfectly still...
His eyes, unseeing but open wide...
His jaw slack and his skin cold...
Danny's blood is valuable, and any occultist would kill to get their hands on it.
It's why the GIW is so desperate to lock down Amity Park, why they're so desperate to capture any ghost they find. They say it's for experimentation, because like hell are they gonna let the mayor or the Fentons know what it can be used for.
All the ghosts they capture are in containment wards, for their and everyone else's safety.
The blood of any being from the Infinite Realms is a 100% guaranteed method of getting a god's attention, of getting them to agree to do what someone wants.
The blood of an Infinite Realms being can be used for incredibly destructive purposes, as gods will literally do almost anything for a taste of it.
The GIW used to let the humans of Amity Park leave, but after multiple medical checkups, realized that Liminal blood was almost as good as Ghost blood.
Now, no one is allowed to leave Amity Park, full stop.
John Constantine has been contacted via magic by a girl named Samantha Manson, desperate for someone Justice League affiliated to save them.
But the more John looks into the town, looks into what the GIW is actually doing, he realizes this is just more shitty luck for him; because he actually agrees with the GIW.
Infinite Realms Denizen blood is a rarity so rare it's considered a myth, and effective enough to make Darkseid bend his knee for it.
It's way too dangerous for Amity Parkers to leave; they'd be hunted and killed, and the world would suffer for it.
John...John let the kid know. That he'd be helping the GIW and creating wards around the town, so that no one could leave.
This makes things very awkward when Phantom, of all things, manages to leave somehow, and from his skewed perspective (because apparently John didn't explain well enough and the GIW didn't explain at all) get John on trial for expulsion from the Justice League Dark, all while his idiot coworkers are trying to break into Amity Park to "free" the people inside.
Dead on Main Sugar Daddy
AKA "Ghost King Danny unintentionally becomes Jason "Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss" Todd's sugar daddy" prompt!
This is kind of a continuation of Graveyard Favors, but not really lmao.
I just love the idea of Jason coming back from the dead, wearing all Expensive Clothes and literally ancient cursed jewelry, and Bruce is just like, "Where did you get that? I didn't buy it for you. You haven't used your allowance either?" And Jason's obviously not going to admit he has the High King of Infinite Realms, Space, and the Dead as a sugar daddy. (Maybe he would, he's a dramatic theatre kid at heart, but it's funnier if he just straight up lies.)
He says, "I'm literally a crime lord, old man, keep up?? Jesus."
But the more he thinks about it, the more he actually likes the idea. Jason wants to help people, make sure they never experience the same fate he did, and where else to do it than the place he grew up? He knows there are tons of kids he can help, families who have a lack of resources. He's not afraid to get his hands dirty - he's already killed the Joker.
So, Jason calls up his Ghost King sugar daddy, points to Crime Alley, and is like, "I want that."
Danny, in Tucker's ratty Amity-U hoodie and ripped jeans, cheesepuff sticking halfway out of his mouth, "What???"
Danny declares Crime Alley as Jason's Haunt. It's officially Jason's territory in both the human realm and the Ghost Zome; conveniently, that also means that no supernatural (dead or alive) can enter the territory without Jason knowing. It also makes Crime Alley emit major Do Not vibes. Bad guys feel this Dread of being watched constantly, residents feel a bit safer knowing there's somebody who will help if they're in danger, and Jason patrols often enough that everybody starts to associate him as the local crime lord. He also uses Danny's money to invest in some social programs in Crime Alley, like open access food pantries, shelters, domestic violence & sexual assault support, a community garden, little libraries, funding for after school activities, etc.
Because the former Ghost King is absolutely loaded. Danny has eons of old stuff piled in his throne room in the Ghost Zone from Aztec Gold to alien technology. He's not using it and nobody's gonna miss it, so if Jason asks for it, Danny gives it to him. (Does he know Jason is selling it for an absolute shitton of money? Maybe, maybe not. He doesn't really care where it ends up as long as it won't cause the apocalypse.)
So, yeah, that's how Jason actually becomes the crime lord of Crime Alley.
Henchmen for Hire
AKA "Danny is employed as one of the Rogue's henchmen and he's doing so well at being discrete, none of the Bats even know he's committing crime! (They absolutely know.)" prompt idea!!
Y'know what would make this funnier?? Is if Selina Kyle, Catwoman and hoarder of strays, immediately Work Mom'd this kid.
Imagine Danny gets dumped into Gotham by himself. Except there's, like, no ectoplasm - not nearly enough to sustain his Ghost. So, his Ghost form slowly peters out and he's left penniless and powerless on the streets of Gotham. Obviously, the next step would be to find money. But how?? He can't go invisible, intangible, or Full Ghost to help him out here. And there aren't a lot of stand-up places that hire kids younger than 13, so ultimately he's forced to apply for henchmen positions. He doesn't actually find Catwoman's ad. No, she hears through the grapevine that this actual child is applying to be a drug runner for the Penguin or - oh, shit, the Joker??
Absolutely not. Selina is no saint, but she's not going to let another kid be beaten to death by the Joker. Maybe she talks to Harley and finds out where the kid's going, or maybe she just puts in an ad and hires him on the spot. To be honest, she doesn't really expect to particularly like the kid - she'll have him pick up her coffee or something, pay him at the end of the day (standard henchmen pay periods since it's likely they won't live through the end of the week), and clear her conscience.
Except Danny is a little shit.
Danny, for his part, doesn't necessarily want to be a henchman but he figured it'd be more than getting some lady's coffee, right? He imagined an evil man twirling his extra long mustache and smoking a cigar, or mobsters hunched over a gambling table grunting about... playing cards or something, he doesn't know. Instead Danny's told to pick up Catwoman's dry-cleaning. It's almost an insult when he knows she's planning a heist that includes stealing several very expensive items from a museum during an evening showing. Without him, her only henchman!! (So what if he snooped in her office? It's not like it's ghost-proof; she should've expected Bad Behavior from the Very Bad Criminal in her house.)
Selina finds out very quickly that Danny is akin to a rambunctious kitten chewing through her phone charger cable and clawing at her favorite muslin blanket (the one Bruce gifted her from one of their dates). And she's so exasperated that she agrees he can be involved. But only as a distraction and he's told that he needs to scram once the police come because she's not bailing him out of juvie if he gets caught. (She wouldn't, but she could make Bruce do it. Her lover would take one look at Danny's watery doe eyes and cave like he's already experiencing Empty Nest Syndrome.)
So, Catwoman and her littlest henchman plan to rob the Gotham Museum. She buys him a cat-themed facemask (in case things get sticky and he needs a quick anonymous getaway) like ones from Party City, it has little ears poking out from the top and it's adorable. And then it's go time.
Danny's role is to distract the crowd by pretending to be a lost kid and distract Batman if he shows up. Selina will take care of the rest - disarming the alarms, timing the museum workers' shifts, bribing the West Entry security guard, frame-freezing the surveillance cameras, smuggling in the forgery and smuggling out the original, and - well. It'll be nice not to deal with the Big Bat if he shows up, but Selina is used to doing this on her own.
She should've expected that Danny doesn't do what's expected.
Because Danny does his part as the crying, screaming child whose mother is lost amongst the chaos once the museum's power shuts off. He distracts the guards easily. Selina hides away the art, replaces the forgery on the wall, and goes to find her little stray. And Danny is clinging hysterically to The Batman, refusing to be pried off by security guards and museum workers. He's straight up sobbing. Talking about how he loves Batman and Robin, his family is dead, he wants to be Robin, did you know you should be able to see Ursa Major from Gotham but you can't because of the smog, do you think Poison Ivy can just make a lot of trees to unpolluted the air, Nightwing is his favorite superhero, do you think he'll sign an autograph-.
It's astounding how fast that kid can speak while also smearing green snot onto Batman's cape. Danny proves himself to be even more unexpected when he goes off-script, eyeing her and screaming, "Mom!" And Batman's eyes catch hers. Shit. How can she explain a tiny child calling her mother in front of her lover? That'll be an awkward conversation.
Catwoman doesn't take Danny to outings after that. Instead, she has Harley and Ivy take turns "babysitting" (i.e., using Danny as Batfam distractions) while she's at work, kind of like having the fun aunts take you shopping. Danny can do whatever he wants!! With the exception that he needs to be wearing his cat-mask at all times, to properly conceal his identity (neither woman knows he'd already thrown himself at Batman without his mask).
So, while Ivy is destroying a toxic power plant, Danny is stealing Nightwing's escrima sticks, clinging to him, "accidentally" tripping him, doing the Koala-leg thing. He goes all out when Nightwing actually does trip on him - he shrieks that he broke his arm, which forces the vigilante to pay attention to him. Sobs, clings harder, and endures the trip to the hospital on the back of Nightwing's motorcycle with a shit-eating grin.
Harley is beating the hell out of some of Joker's gang. Red Robin is doing surveillance and coordinating with GCPD so they can get the whole circus to Arkham. Except Danny is calling out where Red Robin is hiding with the glittery pink microphone that Harley bought him (originally to sing Doja Cat and Chappell Roan in her car). Joker gang's priority will always be the Batfam because of Joker's obsession with Batman and Danny uses the distraction so Harley can get a couple good swings of her bat in. He cackles maniacally when he hears a muffled, "C'mon, kid!!" from Red Robin.
And the Batkids are just like, Jesus, this kid is literally a nightmare. But they can't do anything! Are they going do arrest a kid? No. Are they going to arrest Batman's lover? No! So, they're stuck dealing with this.... absolute gremlin of a child!!
Danny, of course, is very pleased. The Bats have no idea who he is because of his little cat-mask, he's getting paid literally several grand per week, and Selina - who he's been living with ever since she realized he was homeless - even got him goldfish!
(Bruce is in his office, eyes crinkling in that iconic Dad-Smile, scrolling through candid photos Selina snuck of Danny's chocolate-smeared face while the kid was passed out on her couch. There's a fake ID under the name of Danny Fenton and several pages of foraged school records in a pile on his desk. Bruce eyes his desk drawer where several emergency adoption papers are tucked away.)
Gotham TikTok
AKA "Danny moves to Gotham and records TikToks with absolutely deranged captions. He films Get Ready with Me in Gotham videos, fit checks, and even A Day in the Life of a Ghost in Gotham! Except everybody is freaking the fuck out in the comments" prompt idea!
No, you don't understand, I'm obsessed. Like, what if Danny's idea of "safe" is just... anything that doesn't actively try to kill him? So Metropolitians, Star City, and Central City citizens are literally biting their nails and sweating bullets every time he posts, because what if he gets merc'd by the "Eight Heads in a Duffel Bag" Red Hood?? And that's one of the nicer villains in Gotham. And Danny's just like wow, this place is niiiiiice, I haven't even been murdered yet!
Maybe Jazz took a 12-year-old Danny to Gotham to escape their parents. Gotham's cheap, dirty, and doesn't ask questions: it's the best place to go to disappear because damn near half the city's population are either super villains, hostages, dead, or vigilantes. She gets a job at an understaffed hospital as a clinical psych intern. She enrolls Danny for online schooling because she's scared a public high school would be too easy for their parents to track.
Which leaves Danny alone for hours. He makes a TikTok account called "Danny Phantom" because, c'mon, he's a kid. And, like most kids, he doesn't really comprehend the idea of a digital footprint or that his account is public, accessible by literally anybody.
He's also a little shit. So, the first TikTok he uploads is of a man getting carjacked, but the caption reads: love to see people helping each other. remember it's always okay to ask for help! it's okay, I don't know how to parallel park, either :)
And you just see this guy in a mask shove a businessman away from his car, gesturing with his gun, before getting into the driver's seat. Except the car is parallel parked so the carjacker just slowly inches back and forth between a Prius and a Honda until he can wedge himself out of the parking space. And then gets stuck in stand-still traffic. The TikTok goes viral. It's talked about on the Gotham news and Gothamites are losing their shit, pointing out the exact moment you can see the carjacker start to soundlessly cuss through the car's windshield or the way the businessman is just... standing on the side of the road, watching with a deadpan look.
Danny doesn't know about it being on the news, but he sees all the comments, likes, reposts, and feels something. He wonders if this is what Ember feels every time people listened to her music. So, he keeps posting. Usually, it's short three-second videos of a hilariously unexpected situation with an even more deranged caption. But then he's accidentally caught in the reflection of a store front while recording and doesn't know, posts it like he always does; only for this TikTok to go viral, too. Because "Danny Phantom" is a child??
He doesn't notice the shift in his comments, but the public opinion quickly changes from wow, Gothamites are just like that huh lol to what the FUCK, kid, get inside!!! anytime he posts.
Except Danny never gets hurt. Even in the most dangerous situations, when you'd think this kid is a goner for sure, he's just happily yapping in the background. He's so different from Gothamites because he lacks that dead-eyed, despair-inducing aura of someone who's lived in a hellmouth their whole lives. (A couple people post that Danny kind of reminds them of Golden Boy Brucie Wayne, all air-headed and unrealistically optimistic, and suddenly there's memes of "what happens when you've never gotten shot in Gotham" or "how i act when Commish Gordie accuses me of shoplifting again" with them side-by-side.)
And then Danny's posts go viral again and again. Danny doing a fit check with a blond-haired woman with a checkered outfit, she ruffles his hair and kisses him on the cheek. A picture of him wearing an old jean jacket with a bright red lipstick smear on his cheek is trending for weeks. Spoiler, fully suited up in an all-purple vigilante attire, and him shoving gas station hotdogs in their mouths. He even has videos of him clearly in Killer Croc's lair, with comments of are you in the sewers??? DANNY??? and he responds, no, i'm in mom & dad's basement :) (Waylon Jones is actually sitting behind him in one of the videos, intently watching a TV show on an iPad.)
Everybody adores Danny - Rogues, Gothamites, even the Bats. (There's at least six videos of Nightwing teaching Danny how to do backflips, handstands, and other acrobatic moves. Even the youngest Robin has been caught on camera quietly talking with Danny, a shocking lack of violence that left half the city's population suffering from cuteness aggression for the kids.)
So, yeah, Danny belongs to Gotham.
But the internet is widely accessible and Danny made it so, so easy to find him. Jazz obviously didn't know he was posting videos of himself publicly; she was too tired after back-to-back 12 hour shifts at the hospital that she hadn't even checked social media in months. Otherwise, she would've told him to be careful, to never show his face or post his real name on the internet. Then again, Jazz would never have expected all of Gotham (and Superman himself, totally endeared by the kid after Kon and Jon showed him a couple TikToks) would beat the absolute shit out of anybody going after Danny.
Imagine GIW's surprise when they track down Amity's former residential Ghost only to find an entire city frothing at the mouth to protect their Phantom.

Clark Kent is firmly in his civilian persona. This is a problem, given that the airplane he's on with Lois is about to collide with another plane on the runway.
He can see the other plane about to t-bone them, and is fully prepared to...somehow fumble his way through an explanation as to why he disappeared and superman took his place, but the meta kid sitting next to him has a different idea.
The meta kid let's out a strangled shriek, grips the armrests of the seat, and the entire plane goes intangible.
The cure to vampirism is to never get turned at all
Dick is not ashamed to admit he's in trouble.Ā
He's surrounded on all sides by vampires (because that's a thing now), he's put in this situation by his sister which is just great. Some ancient vampire lady named Pandora says she needs him to defeat the Queen of Blood named Mary and he's pretty sure that involves him being turned into a vampire as well, which he doesn't want.Ā
He's good but even he can tell his odds are pretty shit. There is no backup coming and even if he could call them they would never arrive on time.Ā
And of course he's in his civvies and doesn't have any of his gear. Just fantastic.Ā
But if he goes down he'll go down fighting.
"DANIEL!!"
everything screeches to a halt as the furious booming male voice echoes through the room.Ā
A large ornate wooden double door in the back slams open and a young man rushes through slamming them closed behind him.
Intricate red and green flashes of energy cover the doors and then the young man turns to the crowd in the fancy crypt.
"Our young gifted prince? There is no need for you to attend this meeting, But if there is a way we may assis-?" The question hovers in the air, choked off as the young man runs forward and with hands shimmering in eerie venomous green and deep blood red energy he tears through the random vampire's throat, startling all the others.Ā
"I'm putting an end to this madness, here and now" He drops the gradually disintegrating corpse on the ground.Ā
"Young prince!?" Exclaims lady Pandora.
For Dick things become a blur after that. Screaming and screeching and inhuman growling. The young man easily tears through them all with his powers. It seems some form of backup did arrive, but if this is a blessing or a curse remains to be seen.
Dick doesn't understand though, he seems to be one of them so why...?
One second they are all still fighting then the next the old vampire lady is lying dead on the ground, gradually turning into dust. The vampires who remain all stare at the young man in shock. āhe⦠he killed Pandora, our oldest. The strongest of usāĀ
None of them seem to know what to do now. There are a lot of dead vampires all around, in Dickās humble opinion this meeting could not have gone worse for the acolytes of shadow. Heās not feeling too upset about that though considering what they wanted from him. Still, the fact that they arenāt outright trying to kill this young prince in retaliation⦠he must be someone special, that alone is more than enough for Dick to keep his guard up around him.
Dead Serious Arranged Marriage
AKA "Damian al Ghul and the High King of Infinite Realms, Space, and the Dead are married because of some ritual Ra's al Ghul did when Damian was a baby. The Batfam only find out because Damian casually mentions his husband and they're like?? WHAT???" prompt idea!!
Loosely inspired by this post where Billy Batson & Danny Fenton accidentally get married and Billy spills the beans in front of the JL.
I love the idea of Ra's al Ghul knows Danny because of the Lazarus Pit; maybe Ghost King!Danny came to Ra's and was like, "You know unsanctioned resurrection is forbidden, right? You have to submit an Undead Appeal form in the afterlife. I'm gonna have to confiscate your Goop." But Ra's is a master manipulator and gets Danny to agree to a truce... a marriage with his grandson in exchange for continued use of the Lazarus Pit. Don't ask me how it happened; Ra's "wins" either way because his grandson gets married to a High King and he gets to keep his Goop.
(Because Danny's young, okay? Logistically speaking, he's not going to outsmart an immortal cult leader. Maybe sometime down the road Danny gets tired of Ra's talking circles around him and just, like, punches him in the face or something. Makes "Redemption Arc" Dan take care of it. Who knows?)
But for now, Danny is now married to a literal baby. He's confused as hell how this happened. He's like, omg, am I a groomer now?? Am I one of those creepy ancient kings that get married to 12 year old girls?? What the fuckkkk!!! So, he runs to the Ghost Zone. Goes off-world, maybe he gets swept up in Ghost King duties and totally forgets about it. The thing about the Ghost Zone is that the time dilation is different: a couple of days/weeks/months in the Ghost Zone is actual years on Earth. That's why Danny is still so young despite depictions of him going centuries back (time is even messier because he can actually time travel, too, so there may be paintings of him during the Aztec civilization but only because he was there for maybe a week or two.)
This leads to everybody on Earth thinking he's an Ancient Being. Ra's is elated that his grandson, the heir of the League of Assassins, is married to the equivalent of a God (he doesn't know that 99 percent of the time, Danny's lounging on Sam's couch in sweats and eating cheese puffs, watching melodramatic reality TV with Tucker).
And Damian grows up hearing about this legendary marriage, how this Great Ancient Being is his husband, and is... maybe scared? A little angry, resentful? He's had the choice taken from him from before he could even conceptualize it. He was a kid growing up thinking this All Powerful Being was watching his every move, judging him for not being the best like his Grandfather says, and waiting. He trains harder, learns more, maturing faster than anyone his age. And he's still waiting. Because the High King doesn't show up. Not when Damian's four, six, ten, twelve, fourteen. Damian thinks maybe he's not good enough yet despite vastly outdoing even the most seasoned senior assassins in the League.
Danny comes back to Earth and is like, oh, shit, I need to check on my baby!!! Except when he drops in on the League of Assassins, he's met with an angry, resentful, offended Damian al Ghul who's the same age as him. And Damian's met with.... some guy?? What the hell?? This can't be the High King of Infinite Realms, Space, and the Dead, Ancient Being, etc. He's heard so many stories of his husband, spanning centuries of different culture and in varying dead languages.
Needless to say, their introduction doesn't go great. But Danny wants to explain himself and make amends, and Damian's just baffled enough to listen. ("What do you mean, the Undead Siege of The Great Wall wasn't you???" "Yeah, that was the previous Ghost King. I've never risen an army of the dead before.") But as they talk, Damian begrudgingly accepts that his husband is... actually pretty cool (despite the god-awful sweatpants). Danny's recounting his various tales, usurping the previous Ghost King, and Damian even starts to respect Danny.
So, they keep talking. Keep meeting, learning about each other, becoming friends, and eventually becoming more. Damian originally thought Danny was too stupid for words, but quickly realizes that he's a great strategist, knowledgeable about a vast amount of stuff, and is incredibly loyal. Danny thinks Damian's deadpan bluntness is hilarious, understands Damian's pathological need to be the best (courtesy of the Demon Head's traumatic teaching during childhood), and is almost single-mindedly, unconditionally loyal. He's also incredibly petty, which is also hilarious.
Maybe years pass and they're now lovers, Danny sticking around Earth because he's scared if he goes into the Ghost Zone, he'll unintendedly come back when Damian's 90 or something. So, Danny's there when Talia takes Damian aside and says, "Bruce Wayne is your father. I'd like you to train under him before you become the new Demon Head."
Damian goes and Danny follows. When he worries about Tim usurping the title of Heir, Danny's there to say, "You don't make friends by attacking them, Dami! He's your family, not your enemy." The whole "Damian trying to kill Tim" thing doesn't happen. When he worries about disappointing his Father, Danny's saying, "He's your dad. He missed your childhood so he wants to get to know you - just be yourself." Damian doesn't act violently, aggressively, or is offensively provocative; he's still petty, painfully blunt, and exasperatingly self-confident, but he's also honest and thoughtful.
Damian transitions into the Batfam easier with Danny beside him (invisible, only showing himself while in Damian's room or when they're alone). Because Danny wants his husband to feel accepted, appreciated, and get the unconditional love that he never received while living with the LoA.
Let's imagine several months go by and the Batfam are totally comfortable with Damian. He's truly like their annoying younger brother. So, they're at family dinner, maybe Dick is discussing his relationship with Barbara and Steph makes a comment about when are you going to propose already?? Tim and Jason are ribbing him about commitment issues (Bruce is suspiciously silent, likely knowing that if he says something, his kids are going to verbally tear him apart for his Situationship with Selina).
And Damian says, "Many feel apprehensive to marry. I was not, of course, but my husband was very trepidatious."
The whole Batfam are like... what?? What do you mean the youngest kid of the Wayne household is the first to be married?? (Aside from Alfred, who's since divorced.) Is this even legal???
But Damian just continues on, "Perhaps discussing the progression of your relationship with Miss Gordon would be beneficial. Marriage should be consensual." (Damian learned that from Danny, who had offered to null their marriage in the early days. It was a heated conversation, Danny feeling guilty because he'd trapped Damian into this relationship and Damian feeling betrayed because what do you mean you're leaving me? This is unacceptable! They shared their first kiss after realizing neither one wants to end the marriage.)
And the Batfam, as comfortable as they are with Damian, knows he's a little like a feral animal. He doesn't share things about himself often. They don't want to scare him off by prying, even if Bruce is gripping the table cloth, sweating, and is looking pale. Because his child is literally married and God, please don't let it be to one of those old assassins in the League, please. So, Dick just says, "Uh, yeah. That's - thanks, kiddo, that's... a good idea."
Damian continues to make occasional comments about his husband, but nobody knows who it is. He doesn't use Danny's name. And Danny has to leave to do Ghost Stuff (despite being terrified of losing track of time, but Damian's now living with a loving family so he's kind of okay with being dragged off for his Kingly Duties). So, nobody's ever actually seen Danny.
Until the Joker decides to make his mark on the newest addition of the Batfam. He's already killed one Robin, traumatized the hell out of another, and paralyzed Batgirl. He's eager to add another of the Batfam to his roster.
Joker nor the Batfam anticipate the High King of Infinite Realms, Space, and the Dead to straight up portal Joker's ass into Frostbite's territory (aside from Damian because he absolutely knew what was going to go down the second he saw a glowing green aura illuminate the warehouse). One minute Joker is threatening a civilian Damian, whos' still dressed in his Gotham Academy uniform, and the next he's being violently yanked into a massive swirling void of green.
And who steps out? Ghost King Danny, in full kingly attire, including a wreathy crown of white-hot, broadsword hung on his hip, and a skull mask over his face. The Batfam are scrambling to get Damian's chains unlocked and haul him away from whatever-the-fuck that is. They get Damian unlocked, but he just snaps for them to desist your hysteria, Richard, 'that' is my husband.
(Cue the very tense family dinner afterward. Danny's in Damian's sweater and ripped jeans but the Batfam are just squinting at him like, how is this the same as that Thing from the warehouse?? Danny's totally oblivious, holding Damian's hand and saying, "Mr. Wayne, I love your home! The painted ceiling in that one from on the second floor is amazing, the constellations are actually super accurate!" He forgot that the Batfam had no idea he's visited Damian literally hundreds of times since he moved into Wayne Manor. Bruce looks like he's gained several greys in the last hour.)
(Bonus points if at some point Damian can be seen lovingly feeding Cheetos to Eldritch Monster Danny and the Batfam are just like that's... definitely not pants-shittingly terrifying... Bruce tells himself he's just glad his son isn't married to an LoA member.)
DP + DC
Danny has a protection obsession, most stuff agrees on that. And he defends people as phantom, but also day to day stuff. Telling a creepy guy to back of, walking a grandma across the street.
Crime ally is suspicious. He doesn't sell or do drugs. He doesn't start fights, he doesn't drink he isn't a creep, obviously he has something wrong with him.And so is their vigilante Red Hood doesn't believe for a second that he is clean. So they dig up his past.
They find out he's trans, he left this home at 17, ran like a bat out of hell, he changed his name and keeps tabs on one mysterious Vlad Master, and he has a kid named Ellie. So they try and figure out what's up with Vlad.
They come to the conclusion Vlad SA'd Danny and his parents covered it up. In a way it's true. So they stop digging they leave it alone. But now the entire ally knows, it's a kid running from an abuser, that's why he's here. So they all kinda adopted him.
Cause he has a future. He's in college on a scholarship, has dreams, is kind and helps out. So they protect him. He's like a mascot of crime ally, and really all of Gotham likes him.
And then Vlad comes to Gotham. So yes Jason did his digging, but so did the alley folks, and they've met Danny. Kind sweet Danny, Vlad gets mugged, and beaten blue and black, and he's a halfa. The GIW try and come too, and all it takes is seeing Danny look terrified and the alley is on their asses.
And Danny protects them too, in winter he takes kids/goons in, during Mr Freezes breakouts he heats the big abandoned Planet Fitness, cause it's crime alley and nobody can afford heat. Like a mutual protection.
Also Danny like the rest of the alley hates the other bats. like batman punched Mr. Smith a week ago, who cares that he was working from scarecrow? Batman still punched him! And robin, he's a little menace, and Nightwing heās too happy.
Hi hope you liked it, idk about the trans Danny thing, but it adds to the plot. Also had a migraine and felt nauseous so I dissolved the migraine stuff in my tea. Don't do it, it floats up like plastic. I wish my head didn't hurt.
Used to it
Danny was quite desensitized to death by the time he finished High school. And he didnāt mean just ghosts. Despite his stellar record of preventing any deaths during his vigilante career, he still managed to see quite a few dead bodies. Though those usually werenāt in Amity but nearby towns.
Ghosts did need help sometimes to get peace and that often meant that he found their remains and anonymously sent in tips to the police. Itās this reason why when he planned to move to Gotham for College, and after checking out rent prices, he decided to do something that would only aid him in saving money.
He took a week during the summer between semesters and traveled to Gotham. After a few days of scouting (and staying in shitty hotels) he found the perfect place. An unused Mausoleum. It just needed a minor bit of renovation (like adding a bathroom) and it would be perfect.
He went to the library and searched to make sure he knew the information of whose building it was and if there were plans to use it soon. His luck was good and it was considered abandoned. He checked the price and winced. It would take a good chuck from his savings but overall it would save him quite a bit.
Deciding to save money after he bought it, he used ghosts with the right obsessions to reconstruct it. When he started living there he was somewhat surprised at how settled he felt. Turns out he somewhat accidentally made himself his own grave, which was good for his ghost half.
He didnāt realize that his coming and going from the graveyard would be noticed by the bats though. He doesnāt really want to have them digging into his life. He knows it will be hard but somehow he knows they will find something.

Vague Fucked Up Idea: Danny and Vlad escape their own dimension together after Danny's parents turned on them and started working with the GIW to capture and dissect them. They already managed to destabilize Dani and Dan. Vlad being too injured was unable to carry their cores and thus Danny was forced to in order to keep their cores from fading completely.
Unfortunately this means that Danny is pregnant with twins and incredibly moody and volatile. Unfortunately he only has Vlad to rely on, fortunately Vlad can take a punch and an ectoblast to the face no problem. It's the crying that Vlad can't handle.
Vlad is doing his best to be a good godfather now that they only have each other. But he really wishes Danny hadn't decided to keep Dan and Dani, they really weren't necessary and only seem to cause problems. He is not claiming those brats even if their ecto is half his.
Of course with Danny's violent mood swings and his powers more powerful to compensate for his fragile state Danny has drawn the attention of the local vigilantes. Those pesky justice seekers are so damn nosy about things not at all their business! A few billionaires getting a few million poorer is nothing to care so much about, honestly!
Luckily Vlad can keep Danny mostly busy by letting him craft his own experiments for eco friendly and affordable technology. Sure he's supposed to be being "homeschooled" but Danny is frankly wasted on public schooling. No, he is better stimulated and utilized in Dalv Co Labs. It keeps him busy and less likely to throw a hormonal fit. Fifteen year olds are already a nightmare when moody but a pregnant fifteen year old was just hellish. Daniel was quite lucky he had someone like Vlad to care about a thing like him!
Now if only those wretched nosy vigilantes would back off!
((It's highly unlikely I'll actually do anything with this idea. Feel free to write about it and tag me is you want to! I'd love to see other people's ideas.))
Okay okay, but imagine if Danny just stalks Damian. Like, he has decided that he shall become this childās unofficial guardian angel. Because Ancients know he needs it.Ā
So, one time Damian and Jon are out and Jon wants to go to the Arcade but Damian just says something rude and thenā¦
Danny: *whispering in Damianās ear* You should be nicer to your friend
Damian: Huh?! *looks around, only to find nothing*Ā
And thatās not all. Over time, Damian starts noticing how thisĀ strange presenceĀ as he calls it starts acting more and more. Whispering advice or words of encouragement in his ear (or just flat-out scoldings), making items he had misplaced magically appear back on his room the next day, protecting him from any surprise attacks any time he lowers his guard (which happens very rarely).Ā
Heck, once he even brought him a starving kitten he saw once in an alleyway that he was planning to adopt anyway!Ā
The Batfamily is aware of it. They refuse to do anything because they are far too amused. If anything, they give Damian a thumbs up and a āgood luck" before sending him his way.Ā
It all ends up becoming too much for Damian to tracks down Constantine and tells him;Ā
Damian:Ā I am being haunted. This annoying pest wonāt leave me alone. Get rid of it, or else!Ā
Danny:Ā *whispering on his ear again with a Disappointment Mom voice* What did we talk about?Ā
Damian:Ā *sighs and cringes at the same time, before putting on a smile that looks more like a grimace*Ā Please?Ā
