Alastor wants to be free, and so begins to stir a storm in an attempt to chase Rosie away; it doesn’t work. Instead he gets a bodyguard. A small, pathetic, ridiculous bodyguard. Well, he’s fucked.

"I'm not talking about it, James." He turned the page in his book, even though he wasn't able to properly pay attention to the words. "Any of it."

James went quiet for a moment, choosing his words carefully. He was always the one to do this, to try and put this right, to make you see reason, but Remus didn't want to see reason. In fact, Remus just didn't want to be made to think about it at all. James drew in a breath, leaning back in the chair as he ran his hand through his hair, trying to engineer some kind of normalcy as Remus continued to pretend he was a statue.

"He didn't mean for it to go that far," James started again, cupping his hands together in his lap. "You know that. He was just…"

"I know exactly what 'he was just' doing." Remus' voice didn't rise, but anger was mounting hotly in his chest, his breathing growing heavy. "I don't want to see him. Not today. Not–" He stopped himself from saying not ever. It wasn't really true; he knew it wasn't, but Remus knew it would never be okay between them again. Sirius had betrayed him beyond anything Remus thought was capable. He'd let his guard down too much, and he couldn't do that again. "I don't want to speak to Sirius again."
