I think Tim's character progression from "I have to live" to "I want to live" is so so important. For so long he was alive just because he was helping people. He saw being alive as a duty and something he needed to do for the greater good. But, now we're in an era where he wants to live. Where he's making decisions for himself because he loves his life. He loves the people around him: his friends, his family, his love. He wants to get up and experience another day with them, and he doesn't want to die in battle. He can't die in battle. Not because people will need him, but because he has so much to look forward to. Isn't that beautiful?
