The Ozmosis is Upon Us!

Oscar lies on the floor of Monstra, pacing his breaths.

“What are you thinking about?” Ozpin asks.

Oscar wipes blood from his nose. “I thought they were our thoughts, now.”

“That was rash of me to say. For as long as we can, I want your thoughts to be your own. Would you care to share them with me?”

“It’s Salem,” Oscar says. “She keeps calling you Ozma. And it makes sense; that’s how she knows you. But, why don’t you call yourself that? Why have us all refer to you as the Professor Ozpin you last were?”

“It’s simply a matter of preference at this point. I am Ozma, but I am no longer the Ozma she once knew. Just as she is no longer the Salem I once loved.”

Oscar props himself up and winces at the sting in his wrists. “When she said it the first time, it was easy. I knew she was talking to you. About you. But, every time since, it’s felt like she was talking to me. And… it didn’t feel wrong.” His eyes start to water. “I want it to feel wrong, why doesn’t it feel wrong?” He squeezes his eyelids shut, and a teardrop trenches the dirt on his cheek.

“I’m sorry, Oscar. If it helps, ‘Ozpin’ will probably always feel wrong to you.”

“’Probably?’” Oscar presses a hand to his head. “Oh gods, what if that starts feeling right, too?”

“Most likely, it will not.”

“How are you so sure?”

I will be devastated if we get a timeskip and just. pass over all of the Vacuo Team’s POVs. I mean, pushing aside my love for Oscar/Ozpin, there are so many subplots with buildup and to just skip all that would just be such a mega shame.

But also, yeah, much of the merge is still a mystery to us, and I’m afraid that if they do a timeskip while skipping over OLVE’s POVs, we won’t learn anymore.

The merge has been one of the most analyzed aspects of the show, with countless theories, speculations, analyses, and headcanons. To not get anymore concise answers would be another great letdown.

Started playing the new Tomodachi Life. I dropped Oscar Mii in front of Rubmii (Ruby) and he immediately got a crush!
