Oscar made another amazing meal and Nora was helping him with the dishes, as she normally did. Of course, no matter how many times she told Oscar she would do the dishes since he cooked, he refused. So they were doing them together.

“Why don’t you ever just let me do the dishes?” Nora asked.

“Because I love you too much to make you do them alone, and I don’t expect you to clean up every mess,” Oscar said.

“But you cooked,” Nora said.

“I know…” Oscar started. Then Nora cupped water in her hand and squirted at Oscar. It covered his face.

“You need to listen to me more,” Nora said. Then Oscar returned the favor. Nora let out a tiny scream. Then she splashed Oscar.

“Hey!” Oscar said. He pulled out the faucet and pointed it at Nora.

“You wouldn’t dare,” Nora said.

Oscar turned on the faucet. Nora was splashed in a stream of water. She screamed as she and Oscar started to fight over the faucet, getting both of them wet.

But there was a stronger tool. They turned off the faucet and rushed to the bathroom. Oscar and Nora got into the shower trying to be the superior in the water war.

They were soaked, and laughing the entire time. Nora finally turned off the shower and wrapped Oscar up in a big wet kiss.

Oscar enjoyed himself.

Once the kiss broke, Nora kissed his nose.

“I love you,” Nora said.

Oscar was surprised when Yang had brought (kidnapped) him to this really nice lake. It wasn’t too far from the town, and the water looked so clear. Oscar felt the water, and it was cold, and on a day like today… that was perfect.

“So… what do you think?” Yang asked.

“This is amazing, thank you, Yang,” Oscar said.

“I come here when I need to relax,” Yang said. She noticed how much Oscar was working to feed them all. She saw how much work went into the crops.

“You… think I need to relax.” Oscar didn’t say it as a question.

“Yes. I know you need to relax. If it will help you, you can lay on top of me in the water to relax,” Yang said.

“What?”

“Unlike you humans, us orcs are very buoyant. We float on water. So, I can hold you as you lay on top of me in the water. It is especially good if you don’t know how to swim,” Yang explained.

“I know how to swim,” Oscar said. “That reminds me, question… do orcs swim in the nude or…”

“Many orcs swim naked, but if it will make you more comfortable, I will keep on my small clothes,” Yang said.

“Thank you,” Oscar said.

“Why do you care if I swim naked or not?” Yang asked.

“I don’t want you to think I only see you for that kind of stuff. I want you to know how much I respect you, and I want to make sure no one can think things are happening that aren’t,” Oscar explained.

“You have thought this through,” Yang said.

“Where are you going with this?” Oscar asked.

Oscar wanted to make sure this next year was going to have a lot more variety in the dishes he could make, and the spices he could have. Fortunately for him, the soil was amazing,

Oscar went to the fields and began tilling the land.

He had made the plots so that they were all a good distance away from each other so the crops wouldn’t interfere with other crops, and he made the holes he would plant the seeds in.

It was hard work, but it was needed. Oscar made sure that the orcs had some refreshments ready for him.

The sun beat down on him. He sweat, as normal, and as normal, his shirt started to cling to him. That was when he knew it was time to take it off. He threw it outside of the plots and continued on his work.

Yang had come by to make sure Oscar was doing alright, and ready to offer him a hand if needed, which it probably would be. He wasn’t the strongest…

Yang saw Oscar in the field without his shirt, sweat trickling down him, and him taking a cup of water and splashing it on himself.

Oscar was BUILT. Where had he hidden it all?! Yang watched as Oscar got himself more water. She examined his arms and chest closely.

“Oh gods he’s so hot.”

Yang saw he had abs. Boy did he have them. Yang wanted to walk over there and…

She blushed.

Weiss smiled as Blake crawled over to her. See her amazing girlfriend crawling towards her… wow, what a sight. Blake was now on top of Weiss.

“Hello, lover,” Weiss said.

Blake leaned down and bit Weiss’s lip. The look on Blake’s face, it made Weiss burn, but she loved it.

Blake let go of Weiss’s lip and looked into Weiss’s eyes. Weiss had never felt more desired and more loved in her life. She reached up and held Blake by her face, and pulled her into a deep kiss.

Weiss’s hands moved, exploring Blake’s hair, eventually getting to her ears. Weiss broke off the kiss.

“Blake, may I touch your ears?” Weiss asked.

Blake blushed, and saw the ears flick.

“Of course, Weiss,” Blake said. The way Blake said her name…

Weiss kissed Blake again. This time, she felt Blake’s ears. Weiss was losing herself into the moment…

Then she heard something. It sounded like… purring?

Weiss opened an eye, and saw Blake. Her eyes were open and her blush was so bright.

“Blake?” Weiss asked.

“…”

“Did you just… purr?” Weiss asked.

“Uh…”

Weiss blushed. She made Blake purr?

“I love you,” Weiss said.

“Then, yes, I did purr.”

Ruby and Oscar found a cave, thankfully. The sandstorm had hit sooner than they thought. Ruby was barely able to get out a call before the sandstorm ended all transmissions.

Oscar winced as he sat down. He had taken a big hit from a Grimm. It was lucky, getting a surprise attack. Even that wouldn’t have been so bad if he wasn’t flung into a rock.

She helped him slide into the cave, and found in her bag and found the cover. She locked the cave entrance and moved back to Oscar.

“Glad Theo made sure we had those covers now,” Ruby said.

“Yeah, it’s helpful,” Oscar said. He moved, then winced.

“Oscar,” Ruby said. She moved towards him and moved his jacket out of the way. There wasn’t too much blood, but there was some.

Oscar handed Ruby his first aid kit. Ruby helped Oscar out of his jacket, his back was bleeding more. He would need some bandages.

“Oscar, we need to take your shirt off,” Ruby said.

“Yeah, yeah… go for it,” Oscar said. Ruby helped him out of his shirt. Ruby saw his chest. She should have focused on the wound, but well… he was well built. She blushed.

“How long have you had these?” Ruby asked. Oscar looked down. It took his a second to realize what she was talking about.

“Oh, yeah,.. remember that I’m a farm boy,” Oscar said.

“Well… you hide it well,” Ruby said. Her face was burning. But she needed to focus on his wounds.

“Do these hurt?” Ruby asked. She took out an alcohol spray, and bandages.

“Yeah… but I just need some rest. My aura needs to come back,” Oscar said. He winced as Ruby cleaned the wound.

“Sorry,” Ruby said. She continued to clean the wound.

Oscar was quiet until after Ruby was done. She tied off the bandage. Ruby sat back. All the two of them had to do now was wait.

“Thank you,” Oscar said.

“It’s no problem,” Ruby said.

“I’m sorry I got hurt. If I didn’t we may have made it back,” Oscar said. Ruby rolled her eyes, then crossed her arms.

“Can you not blame yourself for a sneak attack?” Ruby asked.

“But…”

“There is no but.”

Ruby moved next to Oscar. She sat down next to him.

“You did all that you could. That’s enough…” Ruby started. “Despite what you tell yourself.”

Oscar didn’t know much about the ever after, but he knew it was a place where Ruby had to face her demons. He reached over and held Ruby’s hand.

“Thank you,” Oscar whispered.

Ruby turned to him, and put her head on his shoulder.

Oscar knew his meat had been good when he had Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Jaune, and Nora all fighting over it (and him). Ren and Pyrrha were the only ones that knew what manners were. They all fought over his meal.

Yang was the first one to come back. She looked… different from normal. Almost bashful,

“Oscar, your meat tastes so good,” Yang said. Oscar knew for a fact Yang didn’t understand the innuendo, but he sure as hell did. He blushed, and Yang saw. Yang smiled at that.

“It was very delicious! And tender! And the sauce you used made it so sweet. It’s one of your best dishes,” Yang said.

“Flattery, now?” Oscar asked.

“I’m telling you the truth!” Yang took a step further. Her green skin turned red, like her eyes. Oscar took a step back.

“Whoa,” Oscar said.

“Why are you like this whenever I try to compliment you?! You are amazing at your job!”

Oscar knew he was blushing even more. Yang grabbed his shoulders and made him look her in the eyes.

“You are amazing as the cook. You are amazing, wonderful, understanding, handsome, very handsome…” Yang started.

“Y-Yang!” Oscar said.

“I will not allow you to put yourself down,” Yang said. “I will show you how grateful I am for dinner.”

Yang started to lean in towards him. Oscar watched her lips, not moving yet.

The door swung open. Weiss stepped in.

“Stop that. Stop trying to seduce Oscar! You aren’t going to force him to be your mate!” Weiss shouted.

“M-Mate?!”

Yang let go of Oscar and turned to Weiss.

“Excuse you!?” Yang said.

Oh no… two orc women were getting ready to fight.

You know, when an Orc chief kidnapped you, normally that meant you were going to be used for hard labor, bounty, or eaten.

At least his job was related to that last thing. Damn him, but his food was just too good.

Oscar Pine was the chef for this tribe. Maybe tribe wasn’t the right word. It was… a village? A town? It was a large orc settlement.

The orc, Yang Xiao-Long walked into the kitchen with a boar. Oscar’s eye twitched.

“HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO BUTCHER THE ANIMAL BEFORE BRINGING IT TO ME?! YOU HAVE FIVE BUTCHERS!” Oscar yelled. Yang flinched.

“Sorry! I forgot!” Yang said.

“YOU ARE GETTING BLOOD ON MY KITCHEN FLOOR!”

Oscar was a tyrant in the kitchen.

Oscar shook his head as Yang took the Boar back out. A child orc came in and cleaned the blood.

Yang came back a few minutes later after dropping off the boar.

“I’m sorry,” Yang said. Oscar sighed. He couldn’t stay mad at her, or the others. Before he could express that it was okay, Yang came over and pulled him into a hug.

She was warm, strong, and firm. Oscar still liked when she hugged him (especially because she was so warm). The door to his kitchen opened again, and Yang’s sister, Ruby, rushed in.

“Hey! No hogging him!”

Yang sat Oscar down, not telling him Ruby was within ear shot, she needed to go over some things as Ruby’s big sister. She did have Weiss and Blake there to be her moral compasses.

“Why do you have a crush on my sister?” Yang asked. Oscar blushed, and knew there was no getting out of this.

Oscar lowered his head. “Please don’t tell Ruby.”

“I won’t,” Yang said. And technically not a lie. Ruby just so happened to be around them.

“She’s amazing. She’s so kind and brave. She makes me feel like I can do anything and that things are going to be ok. She’s willing to be open. She’s so strong, carrying the weight of the world on her back. I want to be there, holding it with her,” Oscar said.

“Oscar… that was lovely,” Weiss said.

“I think you still have more to say,” Blake said. Oscar blushed.

“Yes, I am attracted to her. I think she’s the most beautiful woman I have ever met…” Oscar realized he just accidentally insulted the three women in front of him.

“Brave of you,” Yang said.

“I love hearing her talk. I love how passionate she gets, and how she can lose herself in something like weapon maintenance. I want her to be passionate about when, even if I am the one that needs the reprimand. I want to hold her and let her see just how I see her,” Oscar said.

Oscar continued explaining why he liked Ruby. After his final reason, he sat back down.

“So… uh… Ruby, come on out,” Yang said.

Oscar was as red As Ruby’s namesakes.

“You said you wouldn’t tell her!”

“I didn’t. Not my fault if you can’t keep your mouth shut,” Yang said.

“Oscar… did you mean everything you said?” Ruby asked.

“Yes.”

Jaune runs a cafe, where Blake works. Weiss thinks that Jaune is out and starts gushing about him (personality, kindness, quirks) and she doesnt notice Jaune being a blushing mess behind her.

Blake sipped at her tea while Weiss was making one of the greatest cases of “I need not only a boyfriend, but Jaune” that Blake had heard (and she heard at least five cases). Weiss sipped her coffee before going back into her endless lists of things she liked about Jaune.

“He smells really good, too. Have you noticed that? Like… gods, I never thought a man could smell good, let alone nice. And he’s humble about it too. He could,” Weiss said.

“How many times have you smelled him?” Blake asked.

“We hugged a few times… mostly group hugs… those count,” Weiss said.

Blake didn’t say anything.

“He offered to walk me home one night, after a party. I said yes. Gods, I should have confessed then,” Weiss said. “Did you know he always made sure I was away from the road? Or that he instinctively grabbed my hand while crossing the street. He didn’t even notice.”

“Gods woman, you got it bad,” Blake said.

“Is that pathetic?” Weiss asked.

“No, that’s a good thing. You like him.”

“But I don’t know if he likes me? Does he think I’m cute? Pretty? Beautiful? He doesn’t flirt with me…” Weiss started.

“Because he doesn’t want to make people uncomfortable,” Blake said.

“EXACTLY!” Weiss shouted. “He’s amazing! And I want him and I want to go on dates, and I want him to call me pretty, and I want to keep holding hands and…”

Blake turned around and saw Jaune standing behind her, back from his task, madly blushing.

“Jaune, ask Weiss out,” Blake ordered.

“W-Weiss… you really think those things of me?” Jaune asked.

“…yes”

“Ok… gods, no one has ever said. Do you want… to go out some time?” Jaune asked.

“I would like that.”

Yang and Weiss both saw how cute Ruby and Ryuji were together, especially since they were being cute right now. Ryuji had his arm around Ruby and scooped some curry for her.

“I still can’t believe it took so long for my boys to make it here, this is the best damn cafe out there,” Ryuji said.

“Swear jar,” Ruby said.

“What did I say?” Ryuji said.

“Damn. Did you not hear it?” Yang said.

“You too, Yang. Swear jar,” Ruby said.

“What? But I…” Yang took out a Lien. “Damn. Damn. Damn.”

She dropped the Lien in. Yang smiled. It was a quarter per swear.

The cafe door opened. Ryuji looked behind him and saw Ren and Yusuke. He waved at them.

“Yo! Over here. Rubes brought some friends to. Hope that’s okay,” Ryuji said.

“I’m good,” Ren said.

“Thank you for allowing us to come,” Yusuke said. They took seats across from Weiss and Yang at the table.

Weiss looked over Yusuke. He had this… aura to him. It looked like he had quite the… discerning eye. His fashion sense was different than what Weiss was used to. His voice… gods.

“Ren, Yusuke, this is Ruby, Weiss, and Yang,” Ryuji said.

“Nice to meet you. Question, did I see that this place serves curry?” Ren asked.

“You saw right,” Yang said. “Amazing combo.”

“I know,” Ren said with a smile. Oh, Yang liked that confidence. And that hair.

“This place feels so much like LeBlanc,” Ren said.

“Is does make an impression,” Yusuke said.

They stepped through the portal Raven made them. Ruby saw Shade and Vacuo up close. The heat beat down on them and she felt it all over her skin. She was probably going to need some sunscreen. She thought of Weiss, and winced. If she needed sunscreen... well, maybe Jaune can keep her aura up...

She turned her attention back to Vacuo.

Oscar was in the library where he always was. He tried to hide his anger and desperation, but when he slammed the book, he knew he failed.

"Dammit," Oscar muttered. "This is pointless... utterly pointless."

"Oscar, you can't give up..." Ozpin said.

"Shut up," Oscar said.

"Oscar..."

"Shut up. This is your fault! You just had to reincarnate in my head, didn't you? You just had to ruin my life. You just had to..." Oscar gritted his teeth. He was starting to get looks. None of them could even fathom what it was like to be him right now. And yet they all looked at him like he was crazy. Well who cares about them!

Oscar just finished another book and still there was nothing about how to save himself. He got up, knocking his small desk over, the books falling to the ground.

He stormed out.

He was on the railing of the room. He needed air.

"Oscar..." Oscar could have sworn he felt Ozpin's hand on his shoulder.

"She's gone. Ruby's dead. How the hell am I supposed to survive this? She was the only one who never looked at me and saw you... and she's gone."

"Oscar... I am so sorry," Ozpin said.

Oscar threw his hand in the air to push Ozpin away.

It was all too much. Oscar started crying.

Ruby took a second look around. She realized she made a mistake in her original assessment of where they were. She thought they were on a building looking at Shade. She realized they were far too close for that.

"I never got to tell Ruby I love her..." Oscar said.

Ruby stopped. The others stopped as well. They all heard. Ruby heard.

"I love her"

The words bounced around in her head over and over again, each bounce making her face redder and her heart faster.

Then she saw him. He hadn't noticed them yet. He was crying. He was so exhausted. She was tired too, but...

Her feet went ahead of her, and soon, she tackled him in a hug. They slammed into the ground, Ruby holding on as tight as possible to Oscar.

"Oscar," Ruby said.

"R-Ruby... this can't be real. I must really be going crazy..." Oscar said.

"No. I'm here. I'm real," Ruby said.
