It's a dumb name, especially since the saying about "it's weird it happened twice" contains nickels, not pennies, but ... brain.

Anyway. This is a canon divergent Skip fic where Kip already happens to have a hot older rich boyfriend when he meets Scott (and for some reason he's called Caleb and looks like Cheyenne Jackson 😉).

His interactions with Scott pretty much still go as in canon up until Scott offers the two tickets to his game and Kip awkwardly goes "can I take my boyfriend?" Cue Scott internally freaking out and trying to pretend all of this was just him being grateful to Kip being his lucky charm and he's just some STRAIGHT eccentric rich dude and was not trying to flirt with Kip and ...

Well, anyway. The fic features Caleb being an abusive asshole, Scott pining and worrying from afar, Kip extricating himself from Caleb but being burnt on the whole 'rich older boyfriend' idea, hurt/comfort, second chances, and more until they get back on track.
