ELIA D'ANGELI: a sabbatic 600yo Salubri priest. He was driven insane by the hunger and the atrocities he commited and ultimately decided to end his unlife by,,, getting diablerized by a pretty Setite. oops <3 yeah they fucked, no Rhadamès did not kill him, that honor was left to an elder Tremere <3
JAMIE VERALDI: a Brujah infant and a Professional Yapper! often gets mistaken for a Toreador due to his great passion for Art (he even works in restoration!). He left his asshole sire and the Anarchs as a fuck-you and joined the camarilla. He might not be physically strong but he is quite agile, since he does parkour and urbex for fun!
LUCIO ALBERTINI: a Giovanni Anchillæ. i stll have to wok on this guy so not much is there about him
DIAMARA: an unwilling Hunter. She has enough levels of True Faith to be immune to most kindred powers, which, unfortunately, means kindred dont like her. She became a Hunter after being harrassed for the nth time by kindred. She is so tireed and just wants to be left alone taking care of her shop. Due to being harrassed so much, she just attacks any kindred that enters her shop, tho she doesnt really care if they exist or not.
DRAMATIS PERSONÆ OC
BEATRIX JØRGENSEN: A former psychologis, now agent for a private Bureau of Investigation for people with Supernatural Powers. Her power is called Phoboplastia and consists in creating small cat-shaped black blobs that can manipulate people's fears (tho she must be careful with it, as too much stress can make this power independent from her or full on take control of her body)

reading about the participation of children in rituals as a form of play in ancient greece and came across an incredibly charming story from julius pollux's onomasticon where a flood prevented the adults from reaching a sanctuary to sacrifice a ram to heracles, and the children solved the problem by....sticking a bunch of sticks in an apple to give it "legs" and "horns" and offering it as a sacrifice instead. it's such a charming thought and i can perfectly picture kids these days also pretending at sacrificing an apple "goat" at recess

I think that you need to have a certain amount of rule breaking attitude to be the first to do something.
I think that my grandmother didn’t become the first woman race car driver because she’s the sort of person who thinks that every time you eat at a dining table you need a full table placement. You can’t just bring a plate and fork to the table you’ve gotta have like tablecloth, placemats, two kinds of knives, the works. Her mind cannot comprehend a universe where you could just eat a sandwich off of a napkin at the table.
So in the same vein she couldn’t conceive of a woman race car driver because there weren’t women race car drivers when she was a kid. She was like “oh it just wasn’t done back then” so she didn’t even try even though that was her dream job.
Anyways I do often wonder how much talent and passion has been lost over the years because there’s a lot of people out there like my grandmother who can’t conceive of things outside of the established norms. If there had been even one person who pushed her to follow her dreams, she probably would’ve been a damn good race car driver but nobody did and she wasn’t.
In the ye olde days, when technology allowed phones to become small but there was no general concensus on what a phone should/ought to look like, it was like the wild west of phone design. The crazier it was, the higher the prestige. Phones back then did two things and they did them with flamboyance.
I love it when a classicist has clearly gotten so lost in the BCE sauce that their perception of time has become deeply warped. Case in point: the article I’m currently reading just described the Byzantine era as “a period relatively modern.”

Geological horror. You find a geode and crack it open and the crystal lining its walls is human blood that can't be genetically matched to anyone. You find a human skeleton but every one of the bones is made from rock, a rock that you know can't be whittled into those shapes. You find layers of clay and loam that sport ancient fossils at the top and the still-rotting corpses of modern animals at the bottom.
This reminds me of the blood river in Antarctica. For like a century scientists had no clue why this river looked like, acted like, and felt exactly like blood. Turns out it’s just really high in iron.
Blood Falls isn't just high in iron, it's the byproducts of extremophile bacteria that have been isolated under a glacier in a iron- and sulfur-rich anoxic brine for the past 5 million years.
