well i’ve personally never noticed that but it’s an interesting observation. pretty sure it means nothing tho. wouldn’t read into it.

he probably ripped out most of his tertiary feathers and only left the primary and secondary that are needed for flight, he only stopped because he felt Jack getting closer or realised what a mess he was making of himself/how ugly he was making himself and tried distracting himself with reading that or thought of how disappointed Adam would be to see him in such a state
