the besties!!!! caitlin's always his romantic wingwoman, telling him to call linda and salvaging his friendship with iris and giving them a couples therapist referral and being maid of honor at their wedding. barry was also her wingman in s1 when they were trying to get ronnie back to normal. they consider each other family. caitlin took the risk of begging zoom for barry's life, completely aware of how dangerous zoom is and zoom's history of serial kidnapping - yet she did it anyway for her friend! caitlin didn't even look at zoom once he stopped choking barry, she was only focused on him. barry's the reason caitlin broke through killer frost in 3x07, saying that "nothing matters" to the villains and encouraging her to kill him, until caitlin breaks through because HE matters to her. also in 1x12 barry called her a "good girl" and no one acknowledged it at all, making it a simple and easy part of their platonic dynamic.
