My Hope is Found

The most important thing is not allowing anti-semitism to go unanswered in gentile spaces. When there are no Jews around challenge antisemitic thoughts and actions. Don’t allow them to say things like “the Holocaust was a White-On-White genocide” or “Jews are privileged” or “Jews don’t face oppression.”  Don’t allow “good Jew/Bad Jew” tests to take place before groups decide whether or not to combat antisemitism. ALL Jews deserve to be protected from it. If someone says “but Israel” when Israel isn’t the topic at hand, tell them to shut up. Make sure that Jews are always part of the conversation when topics of which groups need support are brought up. We don’t need to be the focus, but we’re being shut out on a constant basis and it makes us feel extremely unsafe. That has to change and soon given the recent threats of bombings and armed marches against us. The warning bells have been sounded loudly. Our lives have been directly threatened. We’ve been ignored for too long.
