Dear Lisa,
If youâre reading this, Iâm dead â and I am so sorry. Iâm sorry I couldnât protect you while I was in juvie. Iâm sorry I didnât take care of you better. Most of all, Iâm sorry I wonât be around to look after you now.
I know youâre a big girl, and youâre plenty capable of giving hell to anyone who might cross you. A big part of me thinks you shouldnât have to. Not alone, anyways. I asked the Flash to keep an eye on you. If you ever need help, go to him or that kid Cisco. They wonât turn you away.
Youâre better than me you know, always have been. You can be anything you want, my beautiful baby sister. So if you would do this for me Lisa, be better. Iâm not saying be a hero, heroes die. Iâm saying be safe. You and I know better than most that the world can be cold and dark. Find something that keeps you in the light. I know you wonât be happy with something boring, but try to find something safe, ok?
You are so strong, Lisa. Youâre strong and gutsy and smart. I am so proud of you. You are the only thing in this life that I give a damn about. There is nothing I wouldnât do to protect you. The best parts of me, I owe to you. You kept me from becoming a monster, from being lost in the dark. You have been the light of my life ever since you were born.
Itâs funny, the Flash said once that it was just a matter of time until I joined up with the good guys. Now Iâm heading out to save the world. Donât tell that idiot I said so, but it looks like he was right. I donât know what happened to me, but whatever it was, I hope it was my choice. Just know that I thought of you every day I was gone.
Take care of yourself, sis. If thereâs only one thing I could wish for, itâs that you find something or someone that makes you happy. Be happy, Lisa. You deserve that.
Love,
Lenny
