the thing about "trans guys have it easier" is that when you look into it its really more of a folk myth than anything. people come up with all sorts of stories to explain this "fact." people will tell you that people seen as men are gender-policed much more harshly than people seen as women and every little deviation towards femininity is noticed and punished, and that's why trans guys have it easier. but you'll also hear people tell you that people seen as men have so much more wiggle room, men can be all kinds of sizes and shapes meanwhile people seen as women have to fit into this tiny little box, and that's why trans guys have it easier.
these are two entirely contradictory lines of logic, but they lead to the same conclusion. because the conclusion is the point. its a backformed theory of gender. people believe, for whatever reason, that "trans guys have it easier" is an objective fact, and then storytell an explanation for why that is that sounds right to them. and this isn't necessarily something that's done maliciously, which is key. its not about people twiddling their fingers and thinking about how to contribute to a massive conspiracy against transmascs. its about people just feeling, on a gut level, that trans guys must have it easier, by which they really mean, transmasculine suffering isn't socially visible, and it isn't natural for me to imagine it, therefore it must not exist; yet, trans suffering in general clearly exists, so there must be some reason that transmasculine suffering feels so abstract and immaterial to me and others.
this is why anti-transmasculinity theory is so important. all kinds of people come to this conclusion, and the best explanation for why this strange thing happens and why no one talks about it is anti-transmasculinity & erasure as a social force which people internalize.

i feel like people still think accessibility and accommodation are favours bestowed upon others and not like a collective responsibility of everyone in society
hey, keeping a shared space free from an allergen for someone who's also there isn't an imposition on your personal freedom. it's literally your duty to do that
THIS Iβm tired of living in a city where people care more about animals than people. There are cafes with signs against loitering, but they allow people to bring in their dogs regardless of training. Not everyone is in love with every dog on this planet, and I do NOT like how stigmatized it is to feel this way. If you stand up for yourself and have the gall to not allow animals ((that actively shed, and cause some folks (like my cousin), to puff up and get hives)), youβre looked upon like you announced that you eat a puppy based diet. If non service animals are not allowed in an establishment, all the better! Iβm protecting my staff, any persons who have dander and/or saliva based pet allergies, and YOU. Keep your pets at home, and at parks/places of recreation that are fun and interesting for them!
What is your stance on the issues?
Took a random pill from someone in the club and now there is a fifth cardinal direction
i'm thinking about charlotte brontΓ« spending her last years editing and publishing her sisters' writings and about christopher tolkien dedicating his life to the protection and meticulous reconstruction his father's life's work and about johanna van gogh publishing the letters between vincent and theo that would propel vincent van gogh into fame because she knew how much her husband had loved his brother, and about how so often art isn't just a reflection of the artist's mind and skills but a testament to the fact that they were loved
My sister just quoted this post at me over dinner bc it was discussed in her philosophy class & I can't even smugly inform her of its authorship. Due to the mindhunter yaoi state of my most recent blog history.
And brother?
I hurt people

everyone in the grocery store is my enemy
Way Of The Sworder 2 - My dad fails to have a conversation with me
As Gorion leads me out of Candlekeep, he promises that he'll explain everything as soon as there is time. Actually, there was time earlier when we were in a nice safe keep. In fact, you could have told me a fair bit on the way to this field. Ah, well, he says he'll explain everything.
Under a minute later he is killed by this sinister armoured man.
Barely managing to escape with my life, I find a place to sleep in the wilderness and wake up grieving and haunted by the terrible sight before me.
HEYA IT'S ME IMOEN.
She is SO sorry my dad died. :(
She kind of figured something bad might happen to us, because she kind of sort of accidentally read his mail in the course of being a petty thief. It is a testament to the patience of the monks of Candlekeep that they kept this girl around long enough for us to have grown up together and didn't just kick her out the fiftieth time she pickpocketed someone as a hobby. Following the example of my elders, I refrain from kicking her out of the party.
We very quickly meet up with Xzar, an eccentric necromancer. He's pretty cool but is a package deal with Montaron, who's edgy and always talking about assassinating people. I...I don't think that's how you get to be a very good assassin. Nonetheless, they give us some healing potions and join the party in exchange for us going to Nashkel to investigate the shortage of good iron.
That seems like a small little quest, right?
I met a girl who did a very good half of exam but didn't actually know the answer, so she wrote a full page (two sides), left half a sentence at the end of the page and wrote "Page 1 of 2" and submitted that. Because the teacher assumed it was her fault and that she had lost half of the exam, she gave her a passing grade hoping she wouldn't complain. And she didn't, of course.
In college, I forgot I had a paper (that I hadn't written a word of) due, until the teacher asked us to pass them forward at the start of the class... I had my computer though, and so I said I had forgotten the printed copy at home, could I please run to the computer lab after class and print it and bring it right over? He said sure, he could wait a few minutes since it was just downstairs. I don't have to look at my hands to type, so I wrote it in class while staring at the board like I was taking notes, and printed it off after. Got a B on it.
#bullshitting takes many forms#and should be a skill kids are allowed to hone
Honestly, bullshitting effectively is one of the best things that college teaches you, which is another reason AI is terrible
