patents/copyright are meant to provide incentive for technological development/expensive investment in products. this works for pharmaceuticals (there are reasons why America develops like 50% of all new drugs). there is no fucking reason this needs to work for movies or TV shows. im sorry but nobody's life is being saved by a billion dollar movie budget. the fact that disney has clawed thier way into owning thier ips forever is not improving the world in any way. any defense of intellectual property that can be reasonably raised does not apply to the goddamn 'superfluous treats for funsies' industry

happy disability pride month to mean cripples, nasty addicts, people with down syndrome who arent nice and talk constant shit, wheelchair users that WILL run you over, autists that dont care and arent about to pretend to, people who lie to their psychiatrists, people that sit on the floor in public places with no benches, amputees that lie profusely about "what happened"; to the "noncompliant", the "drug seeking", the "mean", the "difficult" and the "undeserving", and so on and so forth, i love us all and we deserve the world actually mwah mwah

Here's to the disabled people who aren't inspirations. Who aren't "overcoming their diagnosis" and achieving incredible things "despite their disability." Here's to the people struggling in school. Here's to the people on sick leave. Here's to the dropouts. The unemployed. The ones on welfare and disability. The ones who are economically dependent on others. The ones in the hospitals and the group homes. Here's to the ones whose struggles aren't lessened by extraordinary abilities and achievements. Here's to the ones struggling - and failing - to be average. I see you, and I hope you know that you are just as worthy of respect, support and compassion as anybody else - cause you are! Not being able to do certain things doesn't make you less of a person.
