Hey if you See This can you reblog this or comment on this with a character you headcanon as aromantic, asexual, or both. It can be canon it can be founded on absolutely nothing I just need more aroace stuff on here #yay
Okay, real talk now. People love to tag male characters in posts about women, but this post is gonna take this seriously. Is there actually a canonically male character you believe is a trans woman? Or at least has made into a trans woman for a fanart or a fanfic? Excluding the ones canonically implied.
Sound off in the tags! Link to the fanart or fic if available. Do it. Give me the girls. Make more women.

happy pride
I've seen this clip many times, but never really appreciated the power of "what was her problem?" Just casually assuming that lesbians come in a wide variety of shapes and being inclusive. As a transbian who is probably still closer to Homer shaped than to my ideal, that's huge!
The best bit about the Spanish version is that Homer doesn't even recognize it's a lesbian bar, he just says "this bar doesn't have an emergency exit!"
Happy birthday Ro!!! 💖
"everyone should get more aromantic" can appeal to tumblr's sensibilities but I genuinely think everyone should also get more asexual. I don't mean everyone stop having sex, what I mean is
Sex is not essential. You can live without it. Full stop.
Not having sex isn't shameful or a sign of failure. It also doesn't make anyone boring.
You are not entitled to having sex with anybody and nobody is entitled to having sex with you.
Sex is not what makes someone an adult.
Nobody's worth is defined by how much sex they have or don't have.
Sex is not equally important to everyone.
You can have fulfilling and happy relationships without sex.
You should only have sex on your own terms, not because you feel like you owe it to someone, or because you feel like you'd be incomplete without it.
Know your boundaries around sex and be firm about them. Know how to respect other people's boundaries.
The previous point also applies when it comes to discussing sex. If someone doesn't wanna talk about it or hear about it you have to back down.
Anything can be sexual but not everything has to be sexual.

I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?
Don't become a housewife.
And if you do become a housewife, take steps to protect yourself. Make sure you’re legally married, for starters; stay-at-home girlfriends have very little legal recourse to claim their partner’s assets in a breakup. Make sure your name is on the house deed/rental agreement, and have your car in your name, even if your spouse is paying for it. Have your spouse transfer money every month into an account solely in your name, so you can buy yourself things without needing permission, but also so you can save up to leave if needed.
If your spouse fights you on any of this, then don’t quit your job. The tradwife to poverty pipeline is real, and so is financial abuse.
Something that people never add, which I would like to:
It does not matter how reliable your husband is, or if you are a stay at home spouse to a woman, you should have these things anyway!
Even if your spouse is the most perfect, gentle, kind, amazing person in the world, they still have the issue of being able to die.
And if your spouse dies, or ESPECIALLY if your long term non-spouse dies, you REALLY want a backup plan. You want things that will not be held up in probate, you want things their family can't touch, you want things that you can immediately use to help with expenses.
I 100% know my spouse would never leave me, would never hurt me, would never do anything that would require a divorce. However I still have that backup plan, because she might fucking die.

I don't think we should discourage the idea, because a lot of them have been taught to aim for that. and if I've learned anything, humans are stubborn bastards that when told not to do something, will do it anyway out of spite, curiosity, or simply because they forgot you told them not to. I feel like we should systemically encourage them to be financially stable on their own to buy the things they need or want without having to ask someone permission or for a favor. putting this idea in their head will naturally discourage them from losing their financial independence. the funny thing about society requiring people to run double incomes to afford single bedroom housing (such a blight upon america's economy...) is that it's encouraging these behaviors I mentioned. as far as I've seen, anyway. women are more employed than ever simply because you need two incomes to own one house. though take that with a grain of sand considering I've never done conscious research, just noticed a trend in both conversation, media, and the ratio of men to women in specific resteraunts and grocery stores. adressing the problem directly has almost never worked in any given scenario regarding the entirety of human society. this is why the government has to manipulate us with propaganda. because telling us to sign up for a draft or asking nicely for us to pay more taxes so we can support our political allies directly has never gone well and probably never will.
