the moral of Jax's arc contradicts the moral of the other characters in the finale
"You can have meaning in a stagnant life" is a direct antithesis of the message about Jax's character that if you're repressing yourself you need to change or die.
Jax was a fucking time bomb who had to come clean to herself about being trans, stop relying on antisocial coping mechanisms, and transition or else she'd become psychotic and die. to stay stagnant means death. So jax dying is a cautionary tale about the dangers of stagnation, right? Wrong, because for the cis characters (and Zooble who apparently loves their body now), stagnation is AWESOME
So while everyone else is enjoying the "stagnant life" and accepting things as they are, Zooble not conjuring a better body, Gangle not using the internet to become a cartoonist in the outside world despite lacking a physical body, etc. because they can just have fun in the circus instead of fighting it....Jax just fucking dies. Because Jax is fundamentally incompatible with the moral of the story.
