Welcome to the Graveyard System blog! This is our sideblog where we'll be posting about stuff surrounding plurality. You can find our main at @forgotten-hiacinthe!
This blog is endo-safe! We think that all forms of plurality are valid and that not all plurality is disordered. The future is plural, folks, it's high time we in the community start that change by stopping the in-fighting.
The main idea for this blog is to post about all the silly shenanigans that we experience on the daily as a system. Stuff like cleaning, doing homework or a trip to a grocery store easily becomes a great adventure and a challenge on an entirely different level when one is plural - and we feel like that is not talked about much in the community. There's plenty of talk surrounding happenings of our inner worlds - but rarely do we see a post about experiencing the outside world as plural folk that doesn't focus on the negatives.
We encourage you to send in asks about your own system shenanigans!
They can be anon or non-anon and discuss whatever you wish. The only case in which y'alls ask won't get posted is when it will contain hate towards any group of people or a specific person. You can also send in asks that have nothing to do with the theme of this blog - we'll happily answer them all!
Having said that: have a great day, dear reader(s), and make yourself comfortable in our humble abode on the internet.
System introduction and info about how we tag posts below the cut!
How we tag stuff:
we usually don't tag reblogs at all
we have specific tags for each series of posts that we publish here
#plural pov - for the Plural POV series
#faq in-system - for the Frequently Asked In-System Questions series
#plural shenanigans - for asks describing yalls system shenanigans
and there are more incoming!
General system introduction:
We're a mixed origins system - we were a median system from birth and then developed into a more complex system due to trauma. Although we don't discuss it often, we do have a bunch of factives, fictives and/or otherkin members of the system. Our collective pronouns are they/them or xe/xyr/xem. Folks writing this blog do not know our exact headcount, but we know it's around 50 folk here.
Why the name Graveyard System?
It's because our inner world started off as a literal graveyard, set in endless green fields. It was very impractical to work with as a metaphor and was getting quite small for a system that big, so throughout a few months we worked on changing it. Now the graveyard has been raised from the ground and is floating above our Dreamland, with 7 satellite islands floating around it, connected by bridges, but most headmate's private rooms still have the outward appearance of their graves.
A Tour Of The Graveyard - some members' personal intros
From the Hiacinthe Team (frequent fronters):
Liwia - spiritually, she's 70, physically she's 30. The mom and the grandma of the group, often takes responsibility for system kiddos. Her dream is for the body to become an elementary school teacher when we can afford working such a low-paying job. Her first role in the system was however quite the opposite of what she's doing today: her empathy made her a skilled liar and a manipulator, so in the past it was her job to lie to and comfort our past abusers. Now she uses that same empathy and understanding of another's perspective to reparent any kids she encounters in the system.
Lena - at first she was our only anger holder, but after others stopped suppressing her presence and she taught others how to feel anger, she had the space to grow into a well-rounded protector. She's very into astrophysics, and nowadays she mostly shows her anger holder side while fury-cooking a homemade meal for our friends whenever they forget to eat themselves and make the mistake of mentioning it to her.
Andrew - a workaholic with the best fashion sense out of all system members. He's a guy, and he's the only one out of frequent fronters who likes pink, bold colourful make-up, glitter, and neon-coloured clothes. He says his role in the system is that of the gay uncle, but Liwia would better describe him as the father of the group.
Florka - a nonbinary gal that spends their time analysing everything happening in our lives, filling countless journals with data and making sure that other members actually deal with their issues instead of ignoring them. Has a very dry sense of humour.
Others:
Askja - a practicing witch who doesn't give a single flying fuck about what anyone else thinks about her. A protector that makes the body's anxious reactions go away.
Olek - a vaguely humanoid creature of the void, a previous trauma holder. Currently busies themself by tending to the gardens in our inner world. Enjoys retro-style platformer video games.
Are there any others? Yes, many! Some of them might even post on this blog despite not being in the intros, but we only put here people that are comfortable with it.

Iβm relatively new to the concept of plurality and headmates and systems but I think I might have thought of something funny and if it is okay I would like to share it. Would anyone in the community be willing to peer review
hope this isnt a bother- could you give me definitions of some of the stuff you coin? like hearthome, constelic, vesil, etc etc
Definitely not a bother! Happy to help! :]
Constelic - an alterhuman term for when one takes on or collects an identity or multiple identities, Typically these are not permanent and are not there at birth. They may fluctuate in intensity, last for any amount of time
Vesility / Vesil - Vesil is something that in some way affects many or all areas of someone's identity.
Hearthome - a term for when you feel a strong, familiar connection to a place, real or fictional, in which the place/location feel like home
Xeno/Neos AGAB - A xenoAGABs / neoAGABs are a rejection of one's own agab through assigning themselves something else.
Xenonatured - when someone has a strong connection to something to the point it becomes part of them.
Aldernic - an alterhuman term for people who have, or wish to have, a body that deviates from what is expected in society, or typical human notions in general.
Allions - A term for all orientations that do not feel like they fit under the "normal" stardards or expectations of what orientations can be. they may use concepts like space or plants to explain it, but this isn't always the case.
Vior - A term one would use animals/concepts/plants/colors/experiences/etc to describe their behavior. Describing their behavior in ways that is far from what is expected in society, or typical human notions in general
Intenxper - A term for when you have such an intense connection to a certain thing, animal or topic that it becomes intertwined with your very being
Xenolovelang - when one's love language / how they show affection is unable to be described through normative concepts and is related to unconventional concepts in some manner
Hope this helps :] if you have any questions just ask!

Magical girl transformation where I look exactly the same by the end except my posture and speech are different and I have to be reminded of several details on the conversation we just had
Nonhuman expressions of affection are great. Purring. Exposing weak points as a show of trust. Head bonks. Preening and chewing. Nuzzling. Biting. Intertwining tails. Feeding each other. Little chuffs, chatters, beeps and squeaks. Fluffing up of feathers, fur or other things. Dancing to impress. Cleaning their fur, scales, feathers or skin. Sharing body heat. Ears pointing toward those you care about to show your full attention is on them. Slow blinking.
You've got an earworm melody stuck in yalls brain again, and you can't for the love of god and satan figure out where did it come from. Time to play the most entertaining guessing game! What do you think it is most likely to be?
where is the earworm coming from?
it's a song from the body's childhood time
it's a song from some random introject headmate's childhood time
it's one of your non-human headmate's best attempt at vocal communication
it's a positive trigger of a headmate that went dormant years ago and is waking
just something one (or more) of you heard in passing recently

tfw you're doing something that you're absolutely sure none of you have ever done in your entire life but then you can feel muscle memory kicking in and yall are like
Some of your headmates could probably benefit from therapy. However, the overlap between headmates trusting enough to talk about their feelings and headmates who really really need to talk about their feelings is... small.
someone who does not know we're plural: hey, so you say that you're queer. What exactly do you identify as? What's your gender? What's your sexuality?
us: this is my flag
them: ... what?
us: spiritually, at least
them: ???
us: I said what I said
You start reading a book. It's extremely interesting, and you read more than half of it in one evening, only managing to put it down and go to sleep because someone responsible for sleep schedules forced themselves into co-front and put the body to sleep. You dream of the events in the book and a possible continuation. You wake up. You've got no idea where the plot of the book ends and the plot of your dream begins. You notice that yesterday, you forgot to put a bookmark in. You start reading on a random page to see whether you've already read it.
You haven't read this page yet. Dammit, you don't want to see spoilers. You switch out before your mind can process the information. You successfully forget the sentence that hinted at a major plot-twist. But now you're not in front anymore. You can't read the book. Someone else is reading the book, and you're too dizzy from the sudden switch to go into co-con with them. You can only continue imagining how the plotline will go on on your own, just as you did in your dreams.
The person who just switched in knows that they're supposed to read the book. They go through the incredibly vague and tangled memories of the book that the previous fronter left behind. They sigh. They open the book on the first page. They start reading.
considering whether attempting to implement shift schedules to fronting arrangements would make yalls sleep schedule more consistent or (somehow) spiral even more out of control

relating very hard to LBTQ+ media from the past decades (think 50's, 60's) as opposed to modern-day representation, not necessarily because you're queer, but because you relate to their struggle of a huge part of their identity being treated as something that can only exist as a psychological disorder...
To start us off: we are firmly pro-endo. The point of this post isn't to argue that endogenic systems exist and are valid - assuming that systems of any and all origins are valid is only the starting point to our argument.
The question we've been asking ourselves a lot recently is: does dividing systems based solely on their origins even make any sense at all in the long run?
The answer we've come to is: no, not really. The terminology itself is still useful, but more so when talking about origins of a single headmate, as opposed to the entire system. And if you're confused by that conclusion, then I encourage you to read the rest of this post below the cut.
Let me start be going through an example. Let's say that we're discussing a pretty newly-discovered traumagenic system. The term seems to suit them perfectly - there's a high chance that whatever trauma caused them to develop in the first place is still ongoing, and therefore every development inside their system will be tied to trauma in some way, because pretty much their entire life is. That situation is simple enough. But what happens when that system manages to escape the traumatic circumstances that have formed them? What happens when, after months or years of healing, most of their traumaholders either went dormant or processed their trauma and developed past their original purpose? If that system's recovery did not include final fusion as their final goal, they will still be a system. It is likely that new life situations will cause them to develop new headmates, headmates that will have nothing to do with the original origins of the system. After decades, most of the active headmates may have experiences way closer to those of the members of endogenic systems, because, in a sense... Those headmates would be endogenic. In situations like those, does it really make sense to define each system by merely the very beginning of their journey?
Something very similar can happen in reverse. When an endogenic system experiences trauma, it is likely that new headmates will form, and the experiences of those headmates may closely much those of traumagenic systems. But unless the entire system redefines themselves as being of mixed origins, any traumagenic-focused spaces, where they could search for community's support, would be closed off to them. Even if they would make the change to the label of mixed origins, many spaces will still reject them. But how does that make any sense? Why would we focus only on the moment of birth of one's system, when what shapes their experiences is their entire life?
The same argument may be made for willogenic and spiritual-based systems. Willogenic systems are capable of splitting new headmates completely unintentionally, just like systems of other origins are capable of constructing new headmates with the help of willogenic guides. Spiritual-based systems can gain new headmates 'just because', and due to trauma, and through constructing them, and in any other way, just as many systems of other origins have headmates that summon in new self-aware companions through their spiritual practices. Why would we pretend that the entire system has to fit its original label, as if systems weren't made up of living, breathing things, changing with each day as is in the nature of the living things?
Why are we, as a community, often so determined to see the forest for its first tree's single seed?
