ok lore dump time. this is an au that ive been stewing in for a few weeks now

fount but before he corrupts, he starts spiralling due to his workload and begins to alter his body with machinery in order to keep up with it. it starts with small alterations, but snowballs as he begins to see himself as less and less of a living person. fount gets really caught up in this belief that he's nothing but a tool, and winds up completely encasing himself inside a gigantic mech

due to the nature of his immortality, cookiekind eventually forget he wasn't a robot in the first place. but as years wear on, things begin to break- machinery isnt infallible either. theres less and less time allocated to maintanence, and mechanisms begin to rust and wires fray apart. he begins leaking oil. then, he begins leaking blood. the answers he gives to those seeking knowledge from him are no longer the truth

one day, he snaps. fount tears himself from where hes bolted to the wall, and drags himself through town. with just the arms of his mech body, he claws himself up to the yoghurt river and sinks into it- and he isnt seen again. all thats left behind is metal debris littered through town and the fire that catches in the building he tore himself from.

when he corrupts, his soul fuses with the machine he put himself in. his body is now a huge shifting endoskeleton of mechanical parts with a corpse rotting somewhere inside of it. it's a mishmash of tech from different eras, as he adds more parts to himself over time. it's a bit of an eldritch abomination. good luck pure vanilla !!

• julien — not the ghost (“if only i could break the chain of disappointment weighing me down / shake off the ghosts that whisper warnings whenever you’re not around / i won’t be afraid of all the things that i wanted”)

• thaisha — the garden (“put your ear to my heart, or set your teeth against my throat / give me something pretty to wear beneath my bloodstained clothes / my darling, the devil knows my name”)

• vaelus — time will change you (“someday / time will change you / you’ll leave behind what doesn’t move / time will change you / we all outgrow our roots”)

• occtis — turn out the lights (“a running list of all your doubts and your dead ends”) (“what good has ever come of it, what answers will you find?”)

• azune — scars (“all the love, all the kindness, all your best laid plans / couldn’t stop me from becoming the way that i am”) (“maybe born in a storm beneath an angry sky”)

• hal — allies or enemies (“now you’re not so quick to forget / are we allies or enemies? / this will be the death of me x2 / all is fair in love, and war / but i cant fight with you anymore”)

• murray — hard sell (“im one deep breath away from a breakdown / my nerves are wrecked and coming unbound”) (“is it me? is it really just me? does everybody have it together, or are we all just pretending?”)
