btw i picked mongolian ground-jay :heart: i discovered it was surprisingly hard to get a purple corvid but i looked far and wide

i thought it was a cutie pie !!! and it makes silly noises. the more beige/tan colour of the body and shoulders of the wings i thought could make a fun gradient into recluse's dough colour. also primaries/secondaries being solid black on the underside while being that sort of oil slick black-blue-purple colour on the top is very Drama and i like it. um. also the markings around its eyes look a bit like eyeliner. slay

My devious au i dont have any official name for yet but have lovingly nicknamed 'fountotron'. fount, leading up to the start of his corruption, spirals under the workload of his job and being dehumanised (cookieised? You get it)

In order to keep up with his work, and also because hes not seeing himself as a person anymore, he begins to. Replace his body parts with machinery. It starts small, like a brace on his fingers so he can hold a pen for longer without getting tired. But it gets worse, and over many years he eventually encases himself in a giant mech

Due to the nature of being immortal, cookies eventually forget he was a person in the first place, and his work only continues to grow. Theres less and less time where he can be powered down, and less time where he can do maintenance on himself, and soon things begin to malfunction and break. He starts leaking oil.. and then starts leaking blood. The answers he gives knowledge seekers become distant from the truth.

One day he Finally snaps and decides he needs out. He yanks himself out of where hes kept (because as a giant mech he was bolted to the wall and couldn't move very far), snapping wires and machinery, and bodily hauls himself out of the building and starts dragging himself down the street. I have a really vivid mental image of this- just this Gigantic Mech dragging itself with its hands in broad daylight

I imagine it clawing all the way to the yoghurt river (or whatever equivalent) and just. Vanishing into it. Like it tips into the river, sinks into it and vanishes. Where did it go??? Is the river even deep enough to submerge a mech that big? Who knows

Anyway Michael afton style his soul fuses with the robot, and Shadow Milk is this big spindly mess of wires and mechanical parts with a rotting body somewhere inside. He would alter his body constantly, and pull apart scrap metal to add to himself- so his body would be a mix of old and new technology! Pure vanilla and subsequent shadowvanilla is relevant to this down the line but this ask is too long already. Good luck nilla 👍

I Am working on designs for both fountotron and shadowmilkotron do not worry. And the other virtues/beasts also have their own thing going on. I actually wanted to make all 5 of them portray different kinds of horror and. Um ok actually too long ask now ty kuiper for hearing this ultimate yap

The only way I see shadow milk topping is at the very start of any kind of relationship with pv. Like forcing himself to take a dominant role because he doesnt like the idea of himself being submissive LMAO

His character arc is accepting he is a bottom amen

shadow milk being in the submissive is an inherently incredibly trusting action, right?? i don't think shadow milk topping does much for his character besides allowing him to further continue into his usual power trips and recede back into his original mindset- without being in the submissive and implored to trust and thereby acknowledge someone's inherent being as something other then evil, shadow milk essentially just continues his own little cycle

i don't think he'd top in a relationship w pure vanilla bc to get to that relationship they'd both have to get to the point where shadow milk realizes his mindset isn't great, but he was DEF trying to top with truthless

you see, dear reader, pure vanilla has this idea, this core belief that cookie kind is inherently good. he makes all of his choices based on the thought that if he keeps offering, keeps wishing, he will eventually unlock something better in whatever evil person he's facing. pure vanilla also believes that, because cookiekind is inherently good, he has to constantly be good and kind or else he is a failure and a freak and an other from society

on the other side of the spectrum, shadow milk believes that cookie kind is inherently evil. he justifies all of his actions with this logic, and he also builds his own corruption and suffering around it- if cookiekind isn't inherently evil, then it is something shadow milk did wrong that brought him here, and shadow milk is flawed, and shadow milk cannot handle that sort of idea

both of these mindsets prove to be their biggest flaw & lack a lot of nuance. pure vanilla's manifests in that he will give and give and give until there is nothing left of him, and shadow milk's manifests in that he will push and push- push people away, push his own mind into doubt. both of these mindsets harm them in some way

anyway the way this plays into shadowvanilla is that neither of them will ever be able to properly engage until they do so on a basis without these assumptions. pure vanilla will not be able to fully grasp shadow milk as a person until he looks past his own internal idea of goodness, and shadow milk will never be able to grasp pure vanilla as a person until he looks past his own internal idea of evilness. they will eternally reach and yearn out towards an idea, a figment of their imagination, until they bother to step outside their own perspectives
