turned everyoneâs favorite pillager into a pin for my bag MWA HAHAHA! I shall now carry them wherever I go.
(Character is Polly from @brightgoat âs Minecraft au)
Do you happen to have a playlist for polly and nil? Or maybe just some songs you feel are like them? :^
Yes! I have like 100 songs for them, but this is the condensed fan-friendly version haha. Maybe I'll make a part 2 sometime once we're further along in the story.

I have a question, and I doubt it has a precise answer, but here goes. What's the characters' height? Theoretically. Polly and Nil are about the same height, but there's a huge range when compared to the others, and I love it <3
Specifically within your AU, what are the heights of each character? I'm particularly curious about Polly, Nil, Glen, Steve, Eve, the traider, and both witches^^
OK SO. I Hate numbers. I hate sticking TO numbers. For this reason I do not give characters exact ages or heights. BUT - here's a vague height chart!
I forgot to add The Witch, but she's about Walda's height when not hunched over.
Are Nil and Polly girls, boys, nonbinary?( asking for the important reason of not knowing what voice to imagine for them when reading comics with themđ)
Genderless!
Explained here:
đŹ 41  đ 579  â¤ď¸ 4813 ¡ What pronouns do Polly and Nil use? I hope they're besties :3
Polly and Nil are genderless, and can use any pronouns
As for voices, here are examples of what their voices would be like:
đŹ 35  đ 214  â¤ď¸ 2277 ¡ MINECRAFT OC VOICE CLAIMS TIME!! ¡ Do you have any voice claims for any of your characters? (Mainly Steve I really li
Their voices are not meant to resemble any gender of leaning towards gender, just what I imagine them as.
Previously, in a hostile confrontation between the Raiders and Piglins, the Totem was lost amidst the chaos, and got picked up by a certain piglet.
Although the Totem is still missing, Eve now has the ingredient needed to charge it - a sacrificial soul - so that it can do what it was designed to; counter death. And the more scared the soul is- the livelier!

Hi everyone! Exams are approaching, but before the final one, I've decided cooking so hard⌠I have a few more drawings in progress. I'll post them all, just please wait^^
But I might disappear for a while as I recover and rest from my exams. Wish me luck!!
I'm keeping the dragon parade going, and also trying to get a handle on perspective and experimenting with new brushes
Character Nil by @brightgoat
(For some reason, this song gives me Nil and her parents vibes)
OHH GREAT WORK ON THE PERSPECTIVE!! So glad you're trying new things, I notice the texturing on Nil's coat, I think it turned out awesome. Love the held poppy and the entire field in the background, and the dragons look so good too, you do the HTTYD style very well.
The song fits her family nicely too!! I love it ;D Thank you for the drawing and the song rec. Now good luck with your exams, excited to see what more you got in store once you're free and recovered!
HAAAHHHHH wait I love how you draw Eve also HAAAAAAHH this is good, thank you so much auahah AND THANK YOU FOR ENJOYING THEM!! This is so good I LOVE Eve's face here
Hi! :D Love your work! Especially the detailed scenes!!! I was wondering, about how long does it take you to go from sketch to lineart to finished product? (Like- about how much time for each step? How much does including a background increase that time usually?) Also, do you usually do it all in one sitting or over the course of several days? :O
Asking because I'm generally a pretty slow artist (trying to improve both speed and detail though!) and I was curious about your process >.<
Thank you for taking the time to read and for sharing your art and stories! :D
Hi! Thank you ;D aaand...
I only do them in one sitting if I'm able to on the weekends. Most of the artworks I work on in intervals between work or other stuff.
I myself am also pretty slow, but usually due to procrastination or executive dysfunction and stuff ahah (i was actually doing that just now help-)
I can say that the updates you are seeing right now, have GENERALLY been made over the course of a week.
They've all also been made in advance (everything goes on patreon first! And we're about two and a half months ahead there)
MOST of the time is taken up by backgrounds. Fastest part is probably the lineart? Colouring is easy, but time consuming just technically. Background the longest, and then shading/filters/effects it really depends.
Generally, do things at your own pace and don't feel bad about taking the time to do it right. I understand anxiety about time a lot, and you definitely get faster with practise or once you've figured out your rhythm.

This was probably inevitably, whoops. Part 12 of the Nether Arc finally got me, I've been eagerly anticipating Eve's return for so long, and it was so GOOD.
So here we have a fanfic of @brightgoat's Minecraft: My World AU.
âââ
âWhere are those pinheads?â Veni cast a calculating scowl beyond the walls of their conquered Bastion.
After a beat, Vici ventured, âWas that supposed to be a pun about⌠arrow heads? Because theyâre archers?â
Vidi knit a brow, looking down at one hand. The memory of gold, gilded and gleaming, stirred something else. âThe bastion.â Fingers flexing, then clenching into a fist, Vidi narrowed both eyes into a stormy glare. âThe witch.â
Thatâs right. Wirt was supposed to support them while the party moved through the Fortress⌠and had returned unattended.
âGo grab the whelp,â Veni began to growl, only to cut off with a strangled sound. âNever mind!â Snapping around, Veni jabbed a finger at Vici. âGo find Cap!â
Peering over the edge of the wall, Vidi straightened up sharply.
Their Evoker had returned.
***
Eveâs steps remained measured, unhurried even as she echoed, âA Librarian⌠here.â Whether the statement was skepticism in the concept or doubt in her coterie, the Captain was irritated either way.
âYes.â They had laid eyes and hand on the Wandering Trader themselves, so the news of a Villager in the Nether was less of a shock. Not to mention, theyâd found and retained the Librarian as wellâŚ
though they had no Enchantments to show for it.
You bluff often?
Something began to crawl up Capâs spine, like black widow legs and black-dyed claws.
After receiving news of Eveâs return, Cap had sent the Vindicators ahead. Firelight flickered on the wall across from the open doorway leading into Wirtâs workspace. It had doubled as the Librarianâs holding cell of late, keeping close to anything one might need to enchant. The closer they drew, the worse the feeling got.
Crossing the threshold, Eve ignored her Vindicators snapping to attention. â⌠Ha. Haha.â Head tilting, she finally smiled.
Slow, tension bristling along shoulders, Cap turned to stare at the Villager.
âThis⌠is the âLibrarianâ?â
Those words alone were enough to drive home just how badly they had all fucked up. The Vindicators kept their eyes straight ahead, though Vici felt the tell-tale prickle of sweat.
Stepping through the doorway, excitement stirring in her chest, Eve reveled in the panic threatening behind the Villagerâs eyes. âHonestlyâŚâ Passing the Illagers, she ignored Cap falling into lockstep, though she didnât miss the rage emanating from behind her. âI canât tell who the biggest idiot in this room is.â
Ask her on any day and she would say it was the one following her; not because it was true, but because it would sting Captain the most out of them all.
In truth, though, falling for a nitwitâs lie was only the second most foolish thing she could think of.
For a nitwit to try lying at all? Ah, now that was an entirely new breed of stupidity.
She stopped short of where the Villager had backed into a table. The brewing stand bubbled idly, reducing something or other to useful componentsâ more than could be said of the one using it.
âBring me the witch.â Wirt would have seen through this façade in a heartbeat⌠which meant there was yet another fool to punish.
Chin jerking toward the doorway, Veni locked eyes with Vidi in silent command. The second Vindicator rose improbably straighter, then stalked out of the room.
Panic mounting, Nil shot a desperate look at the departing Illager. Wirt had no idea Eve was backâ!
âI presume you would like to retake some of your dignity, Captain.â Eve didnât tear her gaze from Nil, squinting with pleasure like a cat. Despite the insult, Capâs jaw set tight, eyes pinning the Villager in place. âGo on then, nitwitâŚâ Eyes darting between them, Nil shrank back against the table, fingers digging into the woodgrain. âRun.â
***
The nether wart garden didnât require extensive upkeep or attention, happy as a clam with dark and damp. Still Wirt liked to check in on it, someplace quiet far away from the raiders.
And, to be honest, someplace away from Nil. Spending time with the Villager was leaps and bounds ahead of the Illagers, but⌠still, there was a sense of guilt that tinted every interaction. Nil was a prisoner, and Wirt was doing nothing whatsoever to change that.
Even after seeing the damage wrought by the raid, Wirt stayed by them. If only by necessity, the Raiders protected their witch. And Wirt needed protecting here.
Collar snagging taut against windpipe, Wirt choked all the way up off the ground. Vidi raised the witch to eye level, which left Wirtâs feet kicking in the air, and glared venomously. âEve wants to see youâŚâ
Wirtâs gut dropped. Oh.
Oh no.
***
Everyone in that room knew there was nowhere for Nil to run. Still, none of them moved; watching, waiting, patient, knowing.
Knowing that the prey heart of a Villager would never have the nerve to hold out against their natural predators. Still Nil held firm, as long as possible, until the tremors became visible, and the sheer effort to bite down panic was too much.
Nil bolted.
The flag that the Raiders had adorned their so-called Librarian with, flapping out behind, was pierced by a diamond bit and pinned to the wall. It swept Nilâs feet off the ground, and before the flag could be divested, Cap seized both it and the Villagerâs signature green tunic in one fist.
Hostility and menace radiated from the captain, and Nil sagged against the wall. Cap ripped the diamond spear from the wall, spinning it one-handed to nudge the tip beneath Nilâs chin.
Eve watched with relish. As much as Cap wouldnât mind killing the Villager and depriving her of this precious ingredientâŚ
Make a fool of meâŚ
At the moment, more keenly than a distaste for their Evokerâ
Cap wanted this Villager to hurt.
She would step in, inevitably, if only to ensure there was no accidents.
âOf course not. Walda is dead.â Eve's vex wrapped around Cap's neck like a garrote, blade kissing his throat. Head yanking back, fingers tensing but going still, he bit his tongue. Yeah, that had stepped in it. âBetrayed by one of yours if I do recall?â
The reminder burned. Cap clenched his fists. Every raid he had been part of, even before his promotion, raced through his mind. He had been watching Evokers kill and die all his life.
He knew every way to make the second happen.
The vex drifted across his vision, pulsing a warning red, sword still primed to pierce. He glared at it, but intentionally loosened his own posture. The last thing he needed to be doing was cementing his idiocy in her mind.
Not so much the knowledge, but the satisfaction he felt with it, left an uneasy pit in his gut. However much this Evoker got under his skin, betrayal was never an option.
Instead, he channeled that heat toward the one who had betrayed them.
Polly.
âI'll get my totem back in no timeâŚâ Eve went on, attention diverting, and the Vex evaporated. She crossed her arms, turning enough to address him, though her eyes didn't follow. âIt's⌠around here somewhere.â
The hostility ceased to crackle between them. Eve was bothered, and too distracted to hide it from him. The Vex had been a warning, a threat, and now here she was letting her guard down right in front of him.
It put him at ease. Somehow, thatâ more than musings of killing herâ left him feeling deeply satisfied.
This was probably inevitable, whoops. Part 12 of the Nether Arc finally got me, I've been eagerly anticipating Eve's return for so long, and it was so GOOD.

!! A WRITTEN FANFIC OF EVE'S RETURN!! OH HELL YEAH!!
I LOVE this take!! Eve's snide comments and Cap's embarrassment taken out on Nil while still is perfect yes yes.. And the part where Nil tries to run away is something I imagined too, of course last second the villager would give in to instinct and just try to run- and would barely make it two steps-
This is great!! Thank you so much for writing and I'm so glad yall liked the newest update !!! ;D
