How, you ask?

People are laying higher taxes, or companies for that matter, means that the government will have more money to spend. If someone loses their job in the USA, they’re screwed and won’t have any money or incomce. In a socialist (or social liberal) country, these people would get money from the state, making them able to still live without a job, which means they are still able to buy stuff.

When they’re still buying, businesses keep selling, and they don’t have to fire more people. So not only does it give more spending, it also prevents a crisis (or makes it a smaller crisis).

Also all the money the government throws into projects or give to their employees, will be spend by the employees or the people in the projects. For the money they make, they have to buy food, and all of that. So the money are spend more than one time, all adding to the final gdp of the country, bucause if there’s a higher demand, there’s be more production.

If you also have taxes on products you by, you get some of the money back in the government directly through these taxes, and then you get to give them to someone else, who will also spend it, and you’ll get money back to spend, and then it keep going, making the National GDP bigger.
