Everybody’s been making posts and jokes about Hades’ being Mal’s father, which I totally get because it’s ridiculous and I wish Disney Did Not Go Down That Path (even though by this point we all know they did) BUT HERE’S THE THING.

If Hades IS Mal’s dad, then that technically makes her Uma’s second cousin.

(Please do ignore the pitiful attempts of last names it was required on the website I used to make this).

Now, the “Ursula and Triton are siblings” plotline was deleted from the original script, but many fans do take it as canon since nothing in the films really negate this fact. And also there was that one musical where they kept them as siblings but I digress.

At the very least though, it does mean she’s family with Ariel and Melody so that’s something.
