So, we lost the strike against Tesla and Elon Musk. After three years of strike, blockades and everything else we could muster, money simply won in the end. Tesla kept flying in scabs (a practise that hasn't been seen in Sweden since the 1930s) so in the end, more members were on strike than were employed to begin with.
The union members where on strike for such long time that they lost their right to social security benefits like parental benefit (and yes striking members had a baby!) and finally Tesla bought them out. No union members, no strike.
Tesla spent a great deal of money to fight the union in court, buying out union members, improve conditions to convince other employees to stay, and to shipping their cars on trucks through Europe when the ports refused to accept their cargo. All to avoid giving their employees the security of a collective agreement.
I probably should say something like "don't pick a fight with the richest man on earth", but what the hell, given the chance I'll do it all again
