The last book i read: Glyph by Ali Smith. Meh? 5/10.

A book i’d recommend: Dungeon Crawler Carl!! The audiobook is so fun.

A book I couldn’t put down: Lonesome Dove. God, I love this world. You literally just FALL into the book, I can't figure out how Larry McMurtry did it.

A book I’ve read twice or more: East of Eden by John Steinbeck.

A book I’ve put down: The Secret History lol. Technically, I picked it back up and finished it but it felt like more of a chore than it should have been. I know some people ADORE this book but it wasn't for me. Having said that, it left a mark because I think about it a lot. Mostly, why didn't it click for me the way it did for others?? I’m not letting it put me off other books by the author.

A book on my wish list: Last Summer in the City by Gianfranco Calligarich.

A favorite book from childhood: any of the Horrible Histories but in particular the one about the Tudors. I loved the little comics. I was a history nerd as a kid.

A book I’d give to a friend: The Correspondent by Virginia Evans or Watchmen.

A book of poetry or lyrics that I own: Book of Longing by Leonard Cohen.

A nonfiction book that I own: The Letters of Frank McGahern. There is something so intimate about reading correspondence between people especially when it's longhand. You have to think and choose your words and i think it's an artform. I'd hate to think it's one that could be lost.

What I’m currently reading: Twilight by William Gay. If you're a southern gothic type of person, this should be right up your street.
