"Jason saw being Robin as a game."
GOOD GOSH WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE WAY BRUCE IS WRITTEN??
HE WOULD NEVER SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
first of all... NO. Jason never saw Robin as a game. He loved being Robin. He loved helping. He loved making a difference. It wasn't a game to him. It was his identity.
If anything, the only time he saw something in his Robin career a 'game' was after the Felipe Garzonas situation and in that moment it wasn't Robin Jason saw as a game.... it was his life.
But Robin?? JASON NEVER SAW ROBIN AS A GAME!
And what's worse is Bruce clearly knew what aspect Jason saw a game (his life) and YET in the panel above, he says that Jason saw Robin as a game.
This all the more proves my theory that none of the DC writers who write/mention about Jason has ever touched a Jaybin comic in their life.
AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE LAST PART OF THAT QUOTE
"It's probably what got him killed"
ARE WE FREAKING SERIOUS RN!??!?!
VICTIM BLAMING JASON FOR A DEATH THAT WAS OUT OF HIS HANDS?!!
THAT POOR CHILD DIDNT KNOW THAT THE JOKER WAS THERE. HE LEFT BC HE WANTED TO SAVE HIS MOM.
HE LEFT BC HE WAS ROBIN AND IT WAS HIS RESPONSIBILTITY TO DO GOOD AND BE THERE FOR PEOPLE. HE LEFT BC HE CARED ABOUT A WOMAN HE JUST MET--BC THAT IS WHO JASON IS.
HELL IF YOU DONT THINK HE'S SELFLESS THEN LOOK AT THESE PANELS:
THAT POOR BOY WAS READY TO DIE. HE TOLD HIS MOM TO RUN. HE DIDNT CARE THAT HE WAS GOING TO DIE AT THAT MOMENT ALL THAT HE CARED ABOUT WAS MAKING SURE THAT SHEILA (THE WOMAN THAT BETRAYED HIM) MADE IT OUT ALIVE.
and sure, you might argue that Bruce didn't really know why Jason left. But STILL. that is NO excuse for victim blaming Jason when it was clearly the Joker that killed him.
GOOD GOSH THESE COMICS AND THE WAY THE TREAT JASON MAKE ME SO MAD SDKUDF
