this is insanely racist and I haven't even seen much about this online yet
after Bad Bunny won they added a Latin song category and after RosΓ© got three nominations the grammys added a k-pop/c-pop/j-pop category they have always been afraid of well-performing artists of color challenging white artists in mainstream categories
May I present to you Wheel Running In the Wild, a published research paper that delights me to no end:
This paper intended to test whether would mice would run on a wheel if they found one, to try and determine if this was a natural behavior or a stress response in captivity. They put a wheel in a protected little box with a camera that took pictures any time the wheel turned, and tallied up how often it was used by what.
Mice were, happily, the most common users of the wheel, and their patterns of use indicated they were doing so voluntarily once they figured it out.
But the second most common users.
Those were slugs.
"he can't write women" is crazy because its not like women are aliens or whatever but i guess men dont see women as people so it all adds up huh!!!!
perhaps i am missing something but i just dont understand how this is an issue that is struggled with by men. i know i answered my own question above but sometimes i'm floored by the stupidity of it yknow.
and then these guys will sit at the top of best selling lists and be considered giants of the genres they write for. its fine i guess
"A man once asked me β it is true that it was at the end of a very good dinner, and the compliment conveyed may have been due to that circumstance β how I managed in my books to write such natural conversation between men when they were by themselves. Was I, by any chance, a member of a large, mixed family with a lot of male friends? I replied that, on the contrary, I was an only child and had practically never seen or spoken to any men of my own age till I was about twenty-five. βWell,β said the man, βI shouldnβt have expected a woman [meaning me] to have been able to make it so convincing.β I replied that I had coped with this difficult problem by making my men talk, as far as possible, like ordinary human beings. This aspect of the matter seemed to surprise the other speaker; he said no more, but took it away to chew it over. One of these days it may quite likely occur to him that women, as well as men, when left to themselves, talk very much like human beings also." - Dorothy L. Sayers: Are Women Human? (1938)

Im obsessed with media preservation and i created a tumblr account just for this loll
I wanted to neatly organize dragon age media(books, comics, films/series) on my pc and also upload that somewhere where all of it would be in one place
Im pretty sure i gathered everything tho if something is missing let me know!
Despite having some of the books on my shelf i want them backed up either way

This is my postcrad for jayce_zine
I also drew a page for Jayce Zine, but I can't show it until pre-orders are closed. The card will have a holographic effect; the rainbow-colored things to the left of Jayce will shimmer like multicolored foil π

These days, lots of public libraries have a "library of things" collection where you can check out kitchen appliances or yard tools or toys, and, as a children's library assistant, the most popular library of things item that I handle regularly is a plastic scepter thingy called like "unicorn princess magic wand". And whenever I check it out I make a big show of looking at the little kid and being like "do you solemnly swear to use your unicorn princess magic powers only for good and never for evil?"
And pretty much without fail, the little kid will get the world's most mischievous grin and go "I'm gonna use it for EVIL!!!"

This is such an abstract type of comedy I donβt even know how to handle it
Considering that this is Jayce's face when blasting Viktor again in the council room fight, he definitely wouldn't have let himself live if he had to kill/live without Viktor again
He was literally fighting with himself to do it the first time even though he promised Viktor
Which is sad and then the way you can see his choice to stay and die with Viktor in his face too when Viktor tells him to go
All my favourite things about this scene:
-Viktor closing his eyes and believing Jayce would actually go after he says "You must go Jayce" and then the sadness in Jayce's eyes.
-Jayce's hand shaking and hesitating when going to touch Viktor's shoulder after Viktor says it.
-The wrist hold so much so it got its own post.
-Viktor holding the rune by closing his palm and Jayce going in with both hands to hold onto Viktor.
-Jayce struggling to go back to Viktor when the rune's blast separates then but still going back to him twice.
-Viktor's face when he realises Jayce isn't leaving then taking his hold on Jayce as well.
-Viktor rubbing Jayce's arm while they touch foreheads and Jayce's hold on Viktor's neck.
-The flip of Jayce and Viktor's reactions to themselves dying compared to their attempt scenes, Jayce looking resigned/accepting in s1 act 1 to scared/nervous here vs Viktor being nervous and shaking in his attempt in s1 act 3 to being resigned/accepting here.
Jayvik glances/stares S2 Act 3 pt.4; The end
pt.3

Jayce on a seaside vacay that Ximena forced him on to take a break from his obsessive studies stumbling across letters in bottles on the shore. They're old. Definitely older than him. He knows he shouldn't read them but they're unaddressed and unfortunately curious
They're the rambles of man somewhere out there in the world named Viktor. He's a scientist, trying to do what he can to help whilst also trying to fight to survive. He fears he'll never do enough to leave an impact and better future so sends these letters out in a hopes that a part of him will last and linger and reach someone
Jayce unknowingly falling for Viktor and his mind and humour with every letter, sketch and ephemera he goes through from each bottle. One includes a photo of Viktor. He doesn't know how much time he loses to taking in every detail, burning the portrait of this man into his brain so he'll never forget. Thumb gently tracing over sharp yet warm features
He tries to find any info about Viktor that he can but nothing comes up. No surname, no home location, no occupation. Nothing. It makes his heart ache. That Viktor's fear came true. And then the final letter washes up. A mess of scribbles and splattered ink and what appears to be stains left by tears. Scared monologue that his time has come and he doesn't want to go, he doesn't want to leave alone, that he'd not done yet he just wants one more chance please. And Jayce has no idea what he's meant to do now, in love with dead man before who lived before his time
Jayce as a contestant on a baking competition and Viktor as one of the cameramen who's crush might be a little obvious cos there's so much footage of Jayce just...existing. Folks watching thank the cameraman for focusing so much on Jayce cos they too have a crush on this big handsome sweetheart who keeps gushing so much about his mother and her cooking with the brightest smile on his face. It's a little concerning how much zoomed in footage there is from bread week of him just kneading the dough. Viktor pretends to have shame but he really doesn't. He thought he'd be jealous of bread dough of all things but guess there's always more things to learn about yourself
