The before and after after!

I found a painted jewelry box at the thrift store that had a gorgeous yet faded hand painted floral design. I wondered if maybe a young girl had owned this box and really made it her own. Maybe it got lost and she never found it again.

I thought it might be best to sand off the paint and stain it instead. So that’s what I did :)

I think it turned out nice. I wanted to keep the design mostly the same. I couldn’t think of anything else that would even fit. I changed a few things of it like the leaves and color choices.

Really, I just hope that what I’ve done would be appreciated by the box’s original owner.

It is VERY funny to me to see this video keep rolling across my social media feeds again and again completely divorced from its original context. See, this video is the creation of long-time "He-Man And the Masters of the Universe" super-fan James "BustaToons" Eatock, and was in fact originally made for the official "Masters of the Universe" YouTube channel when Eatock was put in charge of it several years ago (I want to say it was somewhere in the area of 2013 but it's been long enough that I can't remember) as part of a series of similarly humorous edits of the original FILMation cartoon called "Hee-hee-hee-Man". This one specifically, though, took on a life of its own, and is the only one of the edits to still be around via reuploads as the originals were all deleted some time after Eatock left the channel.
