#taylor swift #just had a post from a indie store pop up in my feed #and they were selling the RSD folklore long pond for $200 #and the rep picture disc for $135 #I paid like $40 or something for that and it doesn’t even play #my advice would be to wait until she represses it with the vault tracks for like it’s 10th anniversary next year #I wouldn’t fork over that much for it honestly #and I believe I saw stuff saying she was actively repressing that and debut through this year

NBC News has been doing a series called the Cost Of Denial that examines the healthcare crisis in America through highlighting stories of people that are often unable to get the treatment they need because they’ve been denied by insurance. Almost every time that NBC comes in to question the companies and ask why the people are being denied their care, the companies fold and approve the treatment. It shouldn’t take a news organization investigating and the possibility of “bad press coverage” to make these companies approve necessary care. People should be able to get the care they need regardless of the situation.

A team of NBC News reporters dug into complex insurance systems and what's behind many denials. What they found, through conversations with

#the one they just had on tonight’s broadcast made me so angry #it focused on a 33 year old named Lexi who has cerebral palsy and is living at home #with her parents acting as care givers and she has two aides that help her #and recent legislation in Maryland seeks to cut the funding for the programs that pay for her care #and the state’s response to people that depend on this care that may lose it because of budget cuts?#put them in an institution #they ended the piece with a quote from Lexi where she said that people with disabilities are people they’re not objects #and it just makes me so furious that so much of this country revolves around how much money can be made #rather than improving lives and treating people #I’ve had various medications and treatments denied by insurance companies that have no clue about my conditions #the doctors that treat you should be the ones approving your care not some fucking corporation #it just infuriates me so much

I just think if you’ve held the same political position since before I was born and are still running to hold that position and you’re nearing 80 years old…pack it up peepaw.

i'll just put this out there: the best advice i ever received as a young adult was that it is better to ACT than to react.

The hard thing is that reaction is easy, especially on the internet, and meaningful action takes time and patience. We see something we don't like or don't agree with or that makes us angry or confirms our biases etc and with a click of a button we can share, repost, like, comment... all without actually verifying the information (which can be hard to do!!! and takes patience!!!) and then just move on with our day.

Reaction makes division worse, but action is what helps heal.
