For Anyone Who Needs It
We’ve had conflicting feelings of parents our whole life. The body’s father, for one, we’ve always had conflicted feelings on. I won’t go into much detail, because it’s not my story to tell. But in many ways, Star (our host) didn’t feel she ever had a father figure. So she looked for one in media. She found some good ones, and some ones she liked despite being not great people. In many ways, she was happy if they were affectionate and loving to her, despite whether they were morally okay or not. Particularly within the story of FnaF, or of practically any mascot horror media always fascinated her. The horror part of it she loved, but she was always more interested in the relationships between people under these odd, strained situations. Then, our escapism issues. At some point, Elizabeth formed. With her formation, feelings of home, of missing a father, got so much worse. I wish I could explain to you all why we are like how we are, or tell you a bit of profound advice. But I’m not profound. All I want to say is that whatever feelings you have, whether that be about your own family, or source family, don’t have to be purely one way or another. You don’t have to decide if you hate or love your parents. And that it’s okay if you look for others in media. Some of our fictional ‘parent’ figures got us through really tough times. And it’s okay if your comfort figures (or source family) are not great people. You don’t have to apologize for wanting to be loved.
Did anyone else skip their teenage "rebellion" years and stick to their teenage "depression" years a lot more prominently?
teenage depression years came at like 11 and then caused the teenage rebellion years but theyre not rebellion years because the rebellion is silent and scared. still waiting for both to pass (I’m like almost 15) (technically 14 and a half but shuddup let me sound older)
For me it was like 13 and rebellion was on and off and-

I hate that thing some people do where it's like. "I left my wallet on the table to see if you'd say anything" or "I wanted to see if you'd wash the car if I stopped doing it"

But I am perpetually hovering three inches above the strong subconscious belief that everyone knows what they're doing at all times except me, so if you change your normal patterns and I notice, then I will assume it is an intentional choice with a thought-out plan behind it and I will avoid interfering
And if I don't notice, because I won't, because why would I, because not much bothers me and if you don't say anything to indicate you are bothered then how would I KNOW
Alternatives to experimenting on me like a lab rat when you suspect me of being inconsiderate:
"I feel like I'm the only one who does this chore. Can we start taking turns?"
"I'd like you to ask me how I'm doing more often."
"It bothers me when this area stays messy so long. Can you do X when Y happens?"
"I feel like the onus is on me to initiate X, and it's wearing me down. Could you try making the first move more? Like 3-4 times a week?"
"I'm feeling upset right now and I'd like to spend some time with you."
"When X happens, I feel like you're taking my work for granted."
"I'm feeling neglected. Could you do X?"
"I'm burnt out and need help."
"I feel like I'm the only one putting effort into X."
"Do you notice this?"
"Are you bothered by this?"
"I am bothered when this happens."
"X habit of yours bothers me."
"When X is like this, I feel bad. Can you [action] when you notice X?"
My tattoo artist told me his teenage son came out to him as trans by giving him a bunch of blue cupcakes and a greeting card that said "it's a boy!"

ok awesome, tumblr decided to just send my post into the void so here we go again:
elli came free with simon, meaning when he first woke up, he threw up a clump of flesh and… ta-daaaa! small elli materialized on our plane of existence.
simon is like the dad who didn’t want a cat, he kept his distance from her while grace figured out wether they could keep her around safely or had to throw her out into space (which he reaaaally didn’t wanna have to do, i mean, look at her cute lil legs!! she’s such a good, wiggly, little girl!!). once they were sure she wasn’t dangerous simon warmed up to her pretty quickly.
they’re connected in a cosmic horror kinda way, she can more or less sense him from anywhere even if her eyesight is really bad. simon can’t do anything special (except be very loving and caring towards her).
