#plural experiences

unidentified plural is having massive voice changes. so, our main speaks with a bit of a lisp, 'th' is 'f', 'v' is 'th', 'signal' is 'single', etc. during fourth grade, back when he did not know he was plural, his school did something that was probably super illegal and essentially pulled him out of classes and abused him into not having the lisp. this uh didn't work since it was back less than a year later, but it meant that someone who to do this day is not named fronted for a lot of those 'speech therapy sessions'. speaking of to this day, he still talks like that, so it's pretty clear to anyone who pays attention when he's not fronting

unidentified plurality is personifying parts of your brain and talking to/compromising with them while still thinking you’re a singlet

unidentified plurality is thinking “sometimes it feels like someone is physically putting their hand over my mouth to prevent me from talking about this thing… i guess it’s just a super specific type of selective mutism!”

Unidentified plurality is us writing a character with straight up diagnosed DID but not wanting to give them the "bad alter" trope because it seems heartless. Then making a mechanism for your demigod ocs to be able to temporarily fuse into one to have "more power" but they don't change body appearance, then making a whole class of ocs who's punishment for disobeying gods is to sit in the heads of people who have done something wrong and need correction and STILL not seeing how's that very much projecting your experiences onto ocs 😭

Unidentified plurality for us was getting into a new media, seeing The Character We Would Hyperfixate On Forever, and having the thought process of "can I not start thinking about this New Character maybe for once? I don't want to be them for weeks, that's really annoying" and not thinking anything of it

unidentified plurality is knowing about one of your headmates in particular for years before you find out you're a system and just kinda being like "oh yeah that's my bud Cody. no clue why he's here or what he is but he hangs out with me while i do the dishes sometimes so whatever" about it

Unidentified plurality with vivid imagination is oh no I just imagine I'm talking to my favorite characters :) I know they're not actually in front of me, but I like to act like they're there talk to them and they can talk back, they can in my head too but it feels better out loud :)
