dick makes people mentally ill. dick havers, dick wannabes and dick lovers are all insane. it's like toxoplasmosis, you have compulsive need to defend and push and worship dicks all the time and spead your dick mania to everywhere you go.
this seems rational and grounded in empirical evidence

if i could give one piece of advice to newly transitioning trans men, it's that it's 100% possible to find a community of people (including women!) who don't treat you as a threat, and the people trying to convince you otherwise are not your friends
Also, perhaps, have we considered that it's actually really bad that we treat closeted trans women (and closeted nonbinary people, and frankly cis men too) this way? Like. It's a bad thing that trans women are treated like distrustful monsters for """"being men"""" before coming out by one demographic and then are also treated like distrustful monsters after coming out for being trans by another. That's not a sign of a culture with a healthy relationship with gender in the slightest!!!
Have we considered that treating people as inherently dangerous or distrustful by virtue of their gender alone is in fact, the very gender essentialism that perpetuates radical feminism in our spaces and that is something that we should be working on stamping out?
I am genuinely sorry that people across multiple different identity lines experience this shit because no trans person should be treated like a distrustful monster just by virtue of their gender identity before or after coming out.
*extends my hand* Let's examine the ways we allow gender essentialism to invade our spaces and harm other trans people and put an end to this cycle of gender essentialist abuse together!

The rule could have heavy impacts towards trans people across society.
Last week, the Trump administration quietly released a sweeping new federal rule that would use funding threats to force institutions across the country to reject transgender people. The 400-page proposed regulation would codify the administration's anti-trans executive orders into binding federal policy, imposing a blanket prohibition on federal funds going toward "gender ideology"
The proposed rule, formally titled "Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance," rewrites the government-wide framework governing all federal grants across every agency. Among its most consequential provisions, it requires that before a federal grant recipient can receive money, the award must pass a "pre-issuance review" conducted by a political appointeeānot a career expert or peer reviewerāto ensure it is "consistent with applicable law, Federal agency priorities, and the national interest." The regulation explicitly instructs these appointees to screen for "denial by the recipient of the sex binary in humans or the notion that sex is a chosen or mutable characteristic." [...] An institution that acknowledges transgender people existāthrough its policies, its training, its healthcare, its bathroom access, its HR procedures, its name-change processesācould be deemed to "deny the sex binary" or to āsupport the notion that sex is mutableā and have its federal funding blocked.
Importantly, the gender ideology prohibition has no age limitationāhospitals could be targeted not just for providing care to minors but for providing gender-affirming care to adults, because prescribing hormone therapy to a transgender patient of any age could be deemed promoting the belief that "sex is a chosen or mutable characteristic."
THIS IS OPEN TO COMMENT UNTIL JULY 13, 2026
This is all very bad and horrible, but I want to be clear that itās worse and more sweeping than just eliminating trans research.
This torches everything. And I do mean everything.
A very abbreviated list of its ramifications include (but are not limited to):
ending funding for ALL DEI related initiatives
allowing the government to terminate grants at any point for any reason
preventing researchers from publishing, going to conferences, and being part of academic societies
requiring that topics must support the presidentās agenda.
What this means, and if anything Iām under selling it, is the death of science and research in America. It allows the government to restrict any topic they please at a whims notice, putting officials who have no background in the topic in charge of deciding funding continuity. It controls what gets researched and if/how researchers are allowed to share their discoveries. There are no books to burn if the government never allows them to be written. This is fascism plain and simple.
Please, if you only ever write one public comment, this is the one to do.
Bringing back this guide to writing an effective public comment. This gives you the basics you need to know, what you need to include, a basic outline you can follow, etc.
Public comments are not a vote, it is a chance for you to say "here is an issue with this law I think you need to address" and provide justification for legal challenges if it goes forward:
"Comments raise the bar that agencies have to meet when making a rule; āif an agency fails to adequately respond to significant, relevant comments in a final rule, members of the public may seek to challenge the rule in court on that basis and claim it could be struck down.Ė®"
But also, if possible, don't stop at writing a comment. Don't stop at calling your representatives. You should ideally be talking to people in your community about this and organizing resistance on-the-ground; there is a good chance people are already doing that even if you aren't hearing about it.
Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.
i can't be the only one who's just straight-up ... bored with women hating themselves. my mom keeps lamenting to me how upset she is about her gray hair. my friend stares at her laugh lines every day in agony. my sister loses sleep over the horrible unbearable thought of looking fat. and every time these women i love open up to me, i can't help but think ... then stop staring at yourself? stop drowning yourself, narcissus, and just fucking live your life instead of sitting in front of a mirror obeying cosmetic corporations' lies. just stop it. this is getting ridiculous. you're too smart to be falling for this bullshit. "oh no but these men who hate women told me that if i'm ugly i'm worthless!" girl if you actually believe that then good luck. but i am getting worse at being supportive of people whose nonsense worldviews keep them trapped in pain. stop looking at yourself start fucking living i am pleading you deserve to be happy and it is stupid that you disagree
Someone in the comments said "you really said just stop being insecure" and yes :) make an effort to stop spiralling about your looks, challenge insecure thoughts and stop doing things that lead to you feeling insecure.
I always come back to this: Do your insecurities match your morals?
Do you truly believe that having belly fat makes people disgusting? That the media should have final say on how you feel about yourself? If you don't believe it and there is a mismatch between your moral beliefs and your gut reaction to your appearance...
Then yeah. Stop being insecure. It's work but it's worth it.

Hey if you're coming to Washington DC for the Fourth of July: don't
We're having our turn in the heat wave and reports from the National Mall are brutal already this week. That screenshot is today's forecast (courtesy of the Capital Weather Gang) and tomorrow and Saturday are confidently going to be worse than this is.
The national Mall has no shade on the grass and you will be exposed to the sun constantly while also experiencing extremely high humidity. You will not be allowed a bag over a certain size to enter the mall and it has to be clear. You cannot have an insulated water bottle, it has to be clear. Reports are that there are two entrances to the area so you'll have to wait in line to even get in. I cannot find a number on how many cooling stations there are, except that it's "few" to "none" depending on what accounts I read online. Vendors are allegedly charging more than the posted prices and seem to be unprepared for actual crowds - these are the official vendors not the scam food trucks that park all around the edges of the mall. And that's the extent of the planning done because it was not a priority to make sure attendees don't pass out.
My local friends and I have reached a consensus that tourists are going to get extremely sick and none of us know what the EMT response or planning is on the mall this year. People are going to die.
Please stay out of this. It's not worth your health. Get your relatives and family to stop. I can give you recs for so many DC museums and things to do if you want to make the most of your trip. Any other local can too.
'really long speech' huh

NICHOLAS BRAUN as TIM DERRY in THE SHEEP DETECTIVES (2026)
That ācringeā nonbinary xenogender genderfuck therian who uses neopronouns and may or may not go on HRT while being loudly, proudly themselves will always be more revolutionary and subversive than a binary trans person who aggressively reproduces the cis status quo and shames anyone who doesnāt do the same.
as if it isnt incredibly cisheteronormative to label other trans people as "binary". there is nothing binary about being a man with a pussy or a woman with a dick. there is nothing binary about being a man raised as a girl or a woman who got fagbashed. people who dont medically transition are not "more trans" than people who do, especially when medical and legal transition is the thing that actually puts the state on your back. im not saying anything negative about cissexual xenogender crossdressers, but not changing your body, your role in society, or your legal assignments is pretty much the status quo. all trans people are equally trans, but if you wanna play that game id definitely put my money on people brave enough to actually resist the state and not just their parents.
calling other trans people 'binary' is fucking bullshit. you can label yourself whatever you want but stop labeling others and pretending you know about other peoples lives.
That sure was a lot of words for āI only think people who fit the gender binary are trans and nonbinary people make me feel icky grossā but nice try
They say we think we're more trans than them cos they think they're more trans.
I hate posts like these that attempt to split hairs over individual oppression points to argue that one group of trans people has privilege over another (especially since, if we must, trans men notably have higher rates of sexual assault and less representation in government than trans women, facts that get conveniently ignored or even actively erased in these convos) because well. Itās unproductive, but even moreso it becomes a breeding ground for rank TERFish transphobic bile to be spread around uncritically:
This is what TERFs believe, wholesale, and is just transphobia, nothing more. If you genuinely think itās okay to say that trans men ātransitioned to manhood to benefit from the patriarchyā you arenāt safe for trans people to be around, yes even if youāre trans yourself. The idea that this is somehow āqueer solidarityā would be laughable if it werenāt so depressing.
I am once again mentioning that this "study" had 700 LGBT respondents. For the entire thing. This is compared to the 2015 USTS (link) which has 27k responses from JUST trans people. It shows that trans men, and nonbinary individuals who were AFAB, have a lower income on average than trans women and nonbinary individuals who were AMAB. In fact, in 2015, trans women in the US have the HIGHEST yearly income compared to any other subcategory of the trans community
Someone in the replies mentioned the number was 7000 not 700, which while still small, is an important note. I must also note about the 2015 study shared by intersexcat-tboy, that trans women and nonbinary/genderqueer folks who were AMAB in the study are on average more likely to be white than trans men and nonbinary/genderqueer folks who were AFAB, and the former group was on average older than the latter- both variables which affect income statistics, with race playing a heavy role.
The fact is that the true trans pay gap isn't between trans men and trans women, it's between white trans people and racialized trans people. This whole thing where we're bickering about which trans gender is doing better is fucking ridiculous when racialized trans people are on average, experiencing worse outcomes than white trans people on every metric.
Do trans men have systemic power over trans women? There really isn't a good evidence to back that up, nor is there any reason to believe the reverse. There is no steady metric for measuring the systemic power of one portion of a tiny minority against another, and it's stupid to bicker about it when we already know that different groups of trans people need support with different issues. Non-exhaustively, trans women tend to need support against stranger violence, and exclusion from education, and trans men tend to struggle with domestic violence, and discrimination in hospitals- and all trans people have higher rates of discrimination in all these fields than cis people. Most the issues trans people face are intimately connected to exploitation and violence at the hands of cis people- I mean not least because they are 98-99.6% of the population
But do white trans people have power over racialized trans people? Abso-fucking-lutely. White trans people are white before we are trans, point blank period.
people NEED to stop gatekeeping making music like ohhhh i donāt have an instrument ohhhhh i donāt know music theory ohhhhh iām not gonna pay for some program. SHUT UP. take my hand.
you need NONE of that shit!!!!! thereās a website called beepbox.co. literally all you have to do is press things until it sounds a modicum of nice. itās easy itās free and it works on anything which has a browser because itās a website.
if even ONE person starts making music bc of this post it will be worth it.
making bad music is just as important and okay as it is to write badly or draw badly or sing badly. you ARENāT BEHOLDEN TO MAKE GOOD MUSIC. making music is not utilitarian HAVE FUN. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!
love how people will encourage people to just start making shit and see what happens when it comes to drawing and writing but when it comes to beginner musicians (music makers if you wish to be less formal) itās just COMPLETE RADIO SILENCE. it feels like no one even knows you MAKE music it just sprouts up from the ground one day and some guy picks it up. am i alone in this dark cave
Fuck it
I'm gonna try and make music
Call me betovan bc I'm deaf as fuck /j
HELL YEAH!!!
Alternatively if you wanna get into music producing in a more āproperā way, you still donāt need any money.
Ableton has excellent free websites to learn the basics:
Learning Music
Learning Synths
You can learn basically everything you need on YouTube. I recommend:
Mercurial Tones Academy
Dan Worrall
Bthelick
A lot of your favorite artists, mainly in electronic music, likely have done track breakdowns, you can watch those to learn how they do things.
DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) ultimately all do the same things, and Cakewalk is a great FREE fully fledged one. Sure it has some issues, and doesnāt have many plugins included, but it works just fine. All the music I released so far was made there, before I made the jump to Ableton.
As for VST plugins:
Vital is an excellent free synth
Native Instruments Komplete Start is a good free collection of plugins
TDR Nova is a great free EQ
Thereās a lot of others and I donāt wanna name everything Iām aware of here, but feel free to DM me for more (Or if you have any other questions and stuff too).
And as for samples, you can get a bunch of free ones at:
Cymatics
Ghosthack
Having good headphones is nice and what Iād recommend you invest in first once it comes to it, but even your current ones will probably be fine, mainly if you slap AutoEQ onto them to flatten the frequency response. And ultimately, music isnāt all about the mixing, the most important part is conveying an emotion.
I know this goes against the spirit of the original post a little, but I want people to know that getting into music production also no longer costs thousands, you can just do it at home on your computer without no money.
Yeah, there is still quite the learning curve, I get that, though itās also why itās managed to hold me as a hobby for so long.
I do however have something of the exact opposite variety too, the most simple way to make music I know of, and a wonderful little semi-social experience, along the lines of the game Journey:
The New PLINK! is the long overdue update of #plink by @DinahmoeSTHLM. Jam with friends and strangers all over the world.
hi op i think you should know that i did indeed make a song for the first time because of this
