Idk is this anything
Digimon Beatbreak Episode 21 related thoughts
Well Shit looks like I'm sorta doing an introspection again. It's been a hot minute but that's I guess because people are better at typing stuff up then I am at the time and reacting to it.
Anyway let's sit down cause holy fuck this was one heck of an episode.
Where to start...
....
Fuck it, I know why you all are here and what you'll probably be expecting from me so I'm just gonna flat out scream about it
Let's fucking talk about Genjou. Our local Egg thief.
So as I predicted last week, this was a fucking setup to get Klay. To expose his actions and release the documents to the Civil ministry, as we see at the end of the episode with a bounty being immediately placed on Klay's head by the Chairman to just top it all off.
So what I find even more interesting is that, even if this might be a case where Genjou was looking for a reason to fuck over Klay, who we know has reason to betray the chairman and take power for himself.
Genjou in this episode was 100% waiting for Kyo to come rescue Tomoro. With him clearly waiting in the stands and watching the events of LAST episode.
In fact, from the start of the episode, it seems like he was WAITING for Kyo to arrive!
Which is why I've started to think that him baiting Tomoro away wasn't really because he would defeat Raito or demonstrate his e-pulse, but it was because of who Tomoro is to Kyo.
Tomoro is Kyo's family yes, but he's also Asuka's brother.
(Though I'm starting to wonder if Tomoro and his strength is known to the five stars due to Klays comments last episode, they seemed to both be convinced that Tomoro was going to be the winner which I did find strange at the time...more thoughts for later.)
Speaking Asuka.
I'm gonna be completely honest here. With what we've seen these past two episodes, there is something absolutely up with Asuka's e-pulse.
I mean. Just look at it.
Does this look fucking normal to you.
In fact! I must also add this extra bit to this closeup in the episode!
What the fuck is up with this framing IN THIS SCENE
IN FACT WHAT THE HELL IS GENJOUS DEAL WITH HOLDING ASUKA'S E-PULSE LIKE THAT (Deadass I've seen people say that they thought he was gonna eat it or lick it)
Which, would be creepy. Anyway.
"A five star and a former five star. Let's let them crush eachother"
From what Genjou is saying here, It's feeling like Genjou is seeking to destroy the Five Stars but I'm also really now starting to actually get the sense that he might actually have a personal vandetta against Kyo, at least enough of one to try and make him fight Klay in the hope that it might destroy Kyo in the process.
This vandetta also may or may not involve why he took Asuka's e-pulse, who Kyo considers an old friend of some description. But on the other hand, theres still a chance Asuka could have even been taken for reasons that not even Kyo understands the full extent of.
There is entirely a possiblity that Genjou even knew Asuka and vice-versa, but to confirm that we'd need to get further into the plot at this stage.
All I can say is that at this point, Asuka's e-pulse is certainly unique and important enough for Genjou to be keeping it on his person or giving it to Gokuwumon to guard and for the scene to frame this moment in this particular way.
hit that beat! 💓

you can tell the economy is doing awesome when every ad is like “play our slot machines—they’re weirdly addictive!” “no money? try loan shark!” “sports betting: the cooler way to be a man” and i swear to god i’m barely paraphrasing the copy of several ads i just saw i swear to jesus christ
i feel so guilty for this but i really just want an easy life and i always have. like i hate discomfort i hate striving i hate constantly trying i don’t have much ambition i don’t like it when things are hard. it never built my character it actually just gave me more problems on top of the pre-existing ones. i want very badly for it to feel simple and light and comfortable
Okay no Chicago is not a coastal city. When I moved up to the Midwest (currently in iowa) and I heard someone say "let's go to the beach" and they meant TO A LAKE I about died. The beach is Galveston, corpus Christi, Miami, etc. Beaches are where the land touches THE OCEAN. not a lake!! I will die on this hill!!!! Midwesterners just want to pretend like their states aren't boring as fuck. Be happy with your great lakes and stop calling them beaches! They're lake shores!
If you say beach and you mean to include lake shores then you're admitting your state is boring and also you're wrong bc nobody thinks "beach" and by *default* includes lake superior or wtv
You wish your beaches had this kind of view
Girl, the only Beach National Park is along Lake Michigan, Her Name? Indiana DUNES National Park and she is in the Chicagoland area!
not the point at all but portland is not a coastal city at all
Yeah but Portlanders are considered Coastal Elites so it's a Coastal City in Spirit
coastal? no. elites? absolutely
Google being wrong once again
I don't know, San Francisco seems pretty oceanic to me
if you're in a state that borders the ocean you can't call a lake a beach BUT if you're in a state with huge lakes and no oceans you can absolutely call a big enough lake shore a beach. some lake shores are very very beach like
Okay but Buffalo NY has Beaches too
As the Great Lakes are basically inland freshwater seas, they get a pass on the beach thing. Other lakes have to call their stuff lakeshores.
Which of these is Lake Michigan and Which is Lake Kentucky?
And more importantly which looks nicer to spend an afternoon?
im assuming Lake Kentucky is on the left because the trees are nicer
How the fuck did you guess that based off of the trees?
Well also Coastal Cities and Coastal Elites just means like East Coast and West Coast, that's why Portland is counted. So like the states are coastal, not necessarily the cities.
As a Portlander, none of us consider our city actually costal.
Correct, Chicago is a Coastal City and Portland is Not a Coastal City
Chicago is not a coastal city as it's not on the ocean. Coastal Cities and Coastal Elites are buzzwords to say "these places are out of touch with middle america" and by middle america they mean the midwest (which is not in the middle but is still called the midwest). They will never call the people of Charleston, SC Coastal Elites despite Charleston being on the Atlantic coast because to the people who came up with the buzzword, that's not a place for Elites because it isn't the ~Left Coast~ (aka the Pacific coast of the United States that trends more liberal in the liberal-conservative political divide) or the Northeast.
Well arbitrary until someone makes the correct observation that Chicago is on a coast and is therefore a Coastal City
Lake Michigan isn't your normal Lake
yeah ig that does look like a sea. ill agree w you
Thank you <3
Anyways if you don't consider Chicago a coastal city because the water is mostly enclosed and can only leave by river or one other entrance than by your own logic New Haven isn't a Coastal City because it is in the Long Island Sound
Either Lake Michigan counts as a Coast or the Long Island Sound Doesn't count because you can't have it both ways
And before you say it's the salt water that makes it coastal than Salt Lake City is Coastal
And that doesn't even connect to the ocean
Good thing that's not my metric (:
A Sound is part of the Ocean.
I really don't think that is relevant to the broader discussion

Beep boop! I look for accidental haiku posts. Sometimes I mess up.
my criteria is if it's big enough to have a harbor, it's a coast
Yes, your seal is childproof, however, it is also 30 year old adult with carpal tunnel proof as well

the long-eared owl is a medium-sized owl with a lanky build; they have a wide breeding range, and are found in north america, europe, asia and small portions of northern africa. they nest in dense woodlands, but prefer to hunt over open ground, and so they frequently prefer woodland edge habitats to have the best of both worlds accessible. the majority of their diet consists of small rodents, particularly voles. like other owls, they are nocturnal, and their secretive nature can make them hard to spot. the oldest long-eared owl on record lived to 12 years, one month of age; they were originally banded in new york, and re-captured in ontario, canada.
Christmas as a cultural icon is starting to get really dystopian in a climate sense, december has historically been a time of year in which there would be snow in a significant portion of europe and north america, and the fact that its not even icy this time of year and all the christmas songs and decorations reference a time of year that will likely never exist in the same way again in my life time is so strange.
(Stares in bewildered Australian) And?
I swear to fucking god if I see another post about someone from the southern hemisphere saying shit like this. No one on Tumblr is capable of understanding when someone is talking about their own experience and be normal about it. I don't even really give a shit about the Christmas side of this just that climate change has gotten so bad that there is no longer ice in Scotland in December and you should be worried about that actually. Imagine if people came on here being like I don't give a shit about Australian wildfires because it doesn't effect me
Just saying, while I share the sentiment of being weirded out by increasingly warm winters, the idea of "snowy Christmas" is profoundly anglocentric, even within Europe.
The concept of a "white Christmas" is pretty rare to experience anywhere in Europe southern than Amsterdam (so 3/4ths of Europe, population-wise). Hell, even some of the nordic capitals (Copenhagen and Stockholm) only get white Christmas maybe once per decade or so. Sure, it can snow everywhere, but in December? It's rarely enough for the snow to actually settle.
So yeah, not really a very significant portion of Europe, really.
Oh my god you people can't read anything without being mad that it's not about you.
I live in Central Europe and we ABSOLUTELY used to have snow in December when I was a kid, roughly twenty years ago. We don't anymore. Wtf are some of these replies on.
When I was a kid, I didn't know trans men existed. I thought that nobody actually likes being a girl, that's just something that unfortunately happens to you, and you just gotta suck it up and pretend to be happy about it. Something vaguely about how it'd be shameful to admit you'd rather be a man because that's not The Feminist Stance, you just gotta grit your teeth and endure that shit and insist that you prefer it that way.
When I first learned that female-to-male transitioning even exists at all, my first thought was to wonder "why hasn't every woman done this?" How has this been kept secret so well that all women haven't flocked to transitioning if that's a thing you can do?
It was only over years that it actually sunk in that yeah no, women really do just want to be women, like genuinely. For the first 12 or 13 years of my life I wasn't aware that trans men exist, but in a more vague and unaware sense, I did not believe that cis women exist.

I've always wanted to move to Norway...
BLM has published a plan to maximize logging in Oregon forests, including old growth forests, without due regard to wildlife (including endangered species) and waterways. They're claiming it will help prevent forest fires, though that seems to be contrary to current science, including that published by the forest service (you can find a list of sources here). This is in response to Trump's executive orders 14223, Addressing the Threat to National Security From Imports of Timber, Lumber, and Their Derivative Products and 14225, Immediate Expansion of American Timber Production.
We have 30 days to submit comments if we want to prevent this. This article has suggestions for what you can say, and how:
One billion board feet per year... 30 days to make your voice heard.
You can read more about it here:
Conservationists say proposal to “maximize” logging across nearly 2 million acres of Western Oregon BLM lands would devastate fish, wildlife
If you live in Oregon and you love our forests, please submit a comment before March 23rd.
If you don't live here, it would be super helpful if you could reblog to spread the word.
