I've been following your art for a long time now and honestly every piece you post is such a visual feast AND IMSO STARVINGG I'm especially obsessed with your use of color and lighting cuz GOOD LORD there’s so much life and depth in em!

I'm currently on my own journey of learning how to draw, and your progress is honestly one of my biggest motivations. Seeing how much you’ve leveled up year after year is absolutely insane and it makes me believe that I can reach that kind of quality too

Your work has such a solid academic foundation and I was wondering (iiif you don't mind sharing👀) what does your learning path look like? Are you in art school or is there a specific system you follow? I’m dying to learn but my city doesn't really have many options for art education,, If you have any tips on what a selftaught artist should focus on to reach a professional level I’d be incredibly grateful for any advice! I’m really trying to structure my studies to get that kind of conscious control over form and light

OH MY GODS MAN THANK YOU SO MUCH>?!??? THIS MEANS A LOT!!! It's still really surreal to me that i am someone's inspiration at some point....I'M GLAD I DO MOTIVATE INTO MAKING ART!!!! (i read all the anonymous notes u send me I AM THANKFULL I JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO REPLY SO THIS POST IS ALSO FOR YA I AM SO GREATFULL!!!! THANK YA NOW- back to the main) I'M SO HAPPY TO HEAR!!! AND YOU ABSOLUTLEY CAN !!! THE POINT IS TO BELIEVE AND KEEP TRYING!!!! so proud bro so happy for you. I am myself i'd say a self taught artist, but in recent years i did go to art school! This is my last year now and i'm really sad ngl...The lessons were crucial but i think it's the people that give the meaning with their own creativity and expression. I think if you don't have any way of education that's a nice way, family, friends and mutuals who can help and support you!! And ofc even give art advice if u need it. In the meaning of progress... It won't be easy but you HAVE to keep trying and draw. that's all i did JHNANJHANJHA

I've gotten to the point where i can't have a day without drawing anything, even fast sketches (THOSE WILL REALLY HELP YOU. Idk set a timer for 30s and try sketching a pose, object or ..ANYTHING LMAO This will help you with the tempo and simplifying.) The more you draw and study a certain subject in art you WILL get better in it. And if you master someting and notice you have problems with idk hands - start doing it. And the best would be from real life, photos always distort proportions. You can aslo learn from studying someones artstyle to understand their way of work by doing a copy BUT FOR YOURSELFFF, never steal yall it's for the learning way. Another note- DONT STICK TO ONE TOOL!!! (both digital and irl) I literally now don't even use pencil that often, i'm planning to paint with oils pretty soon actually bc i came to love them. Some tools give you more expression choices and textures, they do 3/4 of the job themselves sometimes! For the light ...well it's all about the colors...It would be a LOONNGG essay to explain...if you're not afraid you can DM me anywhere! I'd be happy to be more specific. But i can give some short tips: -Try grayscale and different placements of the light first a base, draw for example- a head and give it different sources of light - The more contrast you give the more light will shine. Contrast is to place darkest color next to brightest one (more expressions for color - opposite colors like yellow and blue) IF your going straight to the colors: - give yourself a task to NOT use balck and white (dont shade with black pls......play around with finding more colors in the shadows or light) - everything reflects on everything /hj To make objects appear belonging to their surroundings use idk sky color as their shadow, or a person standing on a huge grass field, the green will def shine from the bottom on the skin! This works for everything ...i'm terrible at explaining color theory... And yk...Having fun in it all is the most important :]]] That's i think all that i can recall for now... i hope it's not a hard read HBJAHBJA AND THAT I COULD BE OF SOME HELP!!!
