As they feature members from established bands such as Messiah, they are sure to attract attention with this release. Dinosaurs already played a central role on the EP “Jurassic Dawn”, and on “Volcano Shock” too, prehistoric creatures, the forces of nature and the struggle for survival run through the songs. This gives the album a distinctive flavour, as dinosaurs and natural disasters aren’t exactly an everyday occurrence in death metal. Vorax have thus delivered a fine death metal album that grows on you a little more with every listen. Anyone who’s into classic old-school death metal should definitely give this a listen.

Following their sensational debut not too long ago, the Polish duo could have gone in any direction, and I am firmly convinced that, with "Twilight of the Golden Star", they have chosen by far the best path.

NARGAROTH was founded initially in 1996 as a solo project in Saxony after the death of a member of the former band „EXHUMINENZ“. The only single and constant member is “Ash” (a.k.a. “Kanwulf”) Authenticity, discipline, purposefulness and incorruptness makes NARGAROTH still aimed to the most polarizing Black Metal band from Germany. "Apocalyptic Steel" is an album that refused to fade into obscurity. It was recorded over a single weekend in September 2014 at Trident Studios in Pacheco, California, and then lay forgotten on a hard drive in the United States whilst "Era of Threnody" took priority. Years later, the recordings resurfaced. This isn’t some rare gem from the archives. This is NARGAROTH at its most direct: nine tracks of raw, no-frills metal that channels the spirit of the early days of Judas Priest, Accept, Deicide and Obituary.
