Vomitory - In Death Throes
Death Metal from Sweden
With their tenth album, “In Death Throes”, VOMITORY prove once again why they have been among the defining forces of Swedish death metal since the 1990s. Without resorting to major stylistic experiments, the band remains true to what made them great: powerful mid-tempo grooves, brutal riffs, and precisely executed blast beats, carried by deep, clearly articulated vocals. The production is powerful without sounding overpolished—every riff comes through clearly, every drum fill hits the mark. When it comes to songwriting, VOMITORY continues to rely on its core strength by combining raw intensity with subtly structured, varied arrangements that never feel monotonous despite the intensity. The result is a solid album that unites classic elements of Swedish death metal in a contemporary form and consistently carries VOMITORY’s signature style. The Swedes remain brutal.

Rare Image of Aaliyah {in all black} in Paris 2001 at her album release party along side Derek Lee, Eric Ferrell, and the MTV crew that was following her for her MTV Diary episodes.
I had this image for almost a year now and planned to share it around this time. I was going to share this for my bday (yesterday) but was having a hard time finding it AS WELL AS the source; it appears they either changed their name, deleted their account, or blocked me because their account just doesn't exist anymore. Thank GOD I saved this to my computer and was able to find it, other wise it might just be gone forever.
Enjoy the photo!
Florence will be at EVERYBODY SCREAM listening party tonight in Brooklyn, NY!🇺🇸

1980 was a great year for releasing a punk rock long player
16 releases, all of which have cult status
Do you have a favorite or is your favorite LP missing?
During // During // After
My album comes out in five days and the amount of emotions surrounding that feels like I have no idea how to put it into words which I always find it so funny to be at a loss for words when it's literally my job to conjure up words and feelings into a regurgitated state that somehow makes sense
It feels wrong to be using my platforms for that though when there are so many other issues here at play - the government failing us in more ways than one. Our world burning - people unable to get access to the things they need. Loss, grief, pain.
Something I've adapted to over the years is the idea that two things can be true at once -- and this relates to almost everything (or so I've come to believe)
I can be feeling everything I'm meant to feel about what it means to be releasing an album in full on the left side of my entire body while the other half of me is processing the immense grief circulating the world right now and all of that is WAY bigger than me and WAY bigger than my silly little album about my own pain
But I feel them both, at the same time, in the same amount, in equal parts and so I'm trying to find a way for my presence in both of them to exist in equal and proper juxtaposition
This album is called QUIET, IN YOUR SERVICE
An old way of being -- an old way of making myself small and not saying anything in every area of my life due to fear. Fear that I'll say the wrong thing, fear that I am going to make someone mad, fear that someone is going to go away, fear that my feelings and thoughts and ideas are too much
But it's the fear of fear that keeps us stuck
My goal with this album is to stop doing that - and learn how to use my voice in every sense of the word.
I hope this album inspires you to do the same
In every area of your life
In your heart, in your relationships, at your job, in your community, in your government, in your friendships, in the way you show up for yourself and everyone around you
I encourage you to donate to those effected by the fires, and please feel free to send me any links you'd like me to reshare as well
All my love
Alexandra
