Ashmadai Symphonies for the Kings 1998 Dungeon Synth Portugal Los Ashmadai son una secta secreta que adora a Asmodeus, el dios del mal y gobernante de los Nueve Infiernos. En la franquicia de rol Dungeons & Dragons, este culto se hizo famoso en la ciudad de Neverwinter. Sus miembros buscan obtener poder político mediante engaños, asesinatos y rituales oscuros.

Estamos ante uno de esos proyectos de one band y one álbum. No sé nada de quién era el artífice de Avox. Tan solo que era un proyecto italiano y que Desolate Land es considerado un clásico underground del dungeon synth. Tuvo una reedición en CD publicada por Fog Foundation, basada en la demo original de 1996 lanzada por Necrotorture Productions. Su sonido era/es atmosférico, minimalista y nostálgico, precursor de lo que después se llamaría dungeon synth. Al parecer, Avox formaba parte de la escena siciliana de NebulaH, junto a nombres como Circumventor, Sadium, Underworld Giubileo y Doublesion. NebulaH actuaba como un núcleo local o microescena de bandas de dungeon synth/ambient de Sicilia.
