Just seen a guy laugh at how a 'fake' DID system "slipped up" and said "I" instead of "we" and my god does this only go to show that these fakeclaimers know NOTHING about us or our disorder and yet they think they know better than the literal people WITH the disorder.
Like I already knew this but seeing this guy act so smug about 'exposing a faker' with the most nothing burger evidence ever makes me want to commit homicide no joke. ^^
They try to act like they're helping DID systems by 'rooting out the fakers', but in reality they're merely trying to restrict disabled people's way of expressing themselves comfortably. They don't really see any of us as actual people and are just looking for yet another way to feel superior to and suppress disabled people in a less frowned upon way.
BAD NEWS: it will not be the same forever
GOOD NEWS: it will not be the same forever
wanna hang out [remembers it's rude to put expectations on people] it's cool if not [remembers people like to know they're wanted] but I'd really like it if you did [remembers selfishness is bad] we can do whatever you want though [remembers that handing someone a blank canvas isn't as effective as providing a suggestion to bounce ideas off of] like sucking each others fingers for example
Why are you faking DID?
Normal systems wouldn't share who is fronting in their system, plus your front hasn't changed in days.
Arson: okay cool so you can kindly fuck off of our page!
1. We don't log every switch that happens on our fronters page!
2. We have seen plenty of systems share a whose fronting page on their blog.
3. If you don't like us and you think we are faking a disorder, why the hell are you stalking our page to see if we switch?
4. This is just another example of how you can never please fakeclaimers. Either you switch too much or you don't switch enough. Your system is too big. Your system is too small. You will never be able to be on fakeclaimers Good side because their community is claiming people are faking for contradictory reasons. Someone fake claiming you for one reason will be another person's reason for thinking you're valid.
5. We will state again that we have been diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder by a professional. No, this does not mean we will be showing any proof to you because that proof would involve sharing sensitive information about ourselves which you don't have any right to see

okay
As a caregiver, I'm tired of people asking,"Do you wipe ass for a living?"
This isn't inherently because it's disrespectul to my job, though it is and us caregivers do SO much more than that; we're taking care of people. That's 10% or less of the job.
It's the genuine DISRESPECT of my clients that bother me.
Do NOT speak about my client like they're a dog. "Do you wipe ass for a living?" You could not have phrased that in a more insensitive, ableist, and dehumanizing way.
Incontenience care is NORMAL.
It is NOT gross, weird, immature, or anything else besides normal.
My clients have felt ashamed for normal things like needing their briefs changed or having to do toiletry and everytime I reassure them they're completely fine and not doing anything wrong. It breaks my heart to see them so embarassed over a normal bodily function, esepcially when they still feel so even though I signed up to do this.
Maybe the elderly or disabled wouldn't be so ashamed of basic things that ARE normal if people didn't make it sound like it was the most absurd, repulsive, and gross thing ever.
Please be mature. If you are an adult and cannot comprehend someone needing toilet assistance without making it weird or sound gross, then you really really need to grow up.
I don't really like making aggressive sounding posts or scolding posts, because every single person is learning and we all make mistakes, but gosh guys, this really bothers me.
Stop making people feel bad and THINK about what you're saying when refering to another human being before you say it. I will NEVER tolerate this disrespect for these people I'm taking care of who trust me.
EDIT: Thank you SO much for the overwhelming sweet responses! They make my heart so happy<3 Thank you for the inbox thank-yous and stories as well! As of now, I will ask any thank yous, stories, or experiences be privately messaged or commented<3 I love all the appreciation, but my blog is about writing characters with OCD and other disorders/disabilities and I don't want to clog my blog up with replying to everyone :)<3
When someone is behaving erratically or unusually in public, this does not automatically make them a threat.
If you sit next to the person on the bus who you see as spasming and twitching... most of the time they'll continue to move the same way they were with no ill intent to you. It's not dangerous, it's tourettes/stimming/cerebral palsy symptoms.
If you chat to the homeless man yelling to himself outside the shops... most of the time you'll learn why he's upset, have a chat that makes him feel less alone, and he won't want your help or will calm down because he's been acknowledged.
If you check on the woman moaning and writhing in her seat on the train... most of the time you'll find she's hungover or in withdrawal or suffering from a chronic medical problem, and you can offer support that could make her feel better or save her life.
Most people aren't out to get you. Not everything about a person's behaviour is intentional or directed at you. Strange does not equal threatening.
Never not thinking about the trans woman I met in a gay bar in a town I'll never go back to who said "gender roles are like chains, fun to use in bondage scenarios but largely irrelevant in daily life"
reblog if you think sign language should be taught as a language in schools.

By the way it's like. Really fucked how society's thoughts on epilepsy is just "get over it." Seizures can cause permanent brain damage. Seizures can kill people. Seizures hurt like hell. Allow me to reiterate that seizures can kill people. And you're just gonna casually put flashing lights, a common trigger for seizures in your advertisement, in your animation meme, in your edit, on your billboards, without even thinking about putting a simple disclaimer? That's unbelievable. Your little anime edit could deadass cost a life and you're not gonna put a warning because it's "inconvenient" or "people like that shouldn't be on the internet" (ableist) (the problem exists outside the internet also). Or you'll give insufficient ones like putting it in the captions or only giving like one second before the flashing lights appear, meaning that the trigger's already in motion before anyone who needs the warning can read it and save themselves from literal physical danger.
We need to start commenting under other people's posts about how to properly warn for flashing lights and eyestrain. We need to be emailing and calling companies about their possibly triggering advertisements that could induce seizures. We need to stop tolerating ableism and start speaking up for the more vulnerable.
Also, stop putting epilepsy warnings. That's like saying "warning: schizophrenia" on a post including unreality or "warning: dyslexia" on a post with a typing quirk. First off, the disability mentioned isn't the only group of people that this could trigger. Second, it doesn't truly get the message across and instead makes it worse for those with the disability-- scrolling through the epilepsy tag on Tumblr should get you to view the content of other epileptic people, but no, you just get a bunch of flashing lights and eyestrain, even though you could instead tag for, oh I dunno, flashing lights and eyestrain.
Anyways this Disability Pride, and for every month that comes after, think about epileptic people and others who are triggered by flashing lights/eyestrain. Happy pride to those who experience seizures too frequently due to the unaccommodating and ableist societies we live in!

"I CANT HANDLE THIS" *handles this*
"I CANT TAKE ANOTHER DAY" *takes another day*
scrolling through posts on multiple platforms on aroace day is hell. 'they still love their friends' WRONG 'they still love their family' WRONG 'they still feel love' WRONG 'they still form deep connections' WRONG.
Stop erasing other parts of the aspec community challenge IMPOSSIBLE apparently!
DOES THE WORD 'SOME' NOT EXIST??????
'Some aroace people feel love, others do not..'
'Some aroace people choose to be in QPR's...'
So simple!
Yes I will be annoying and inform every single person I see make this mistake!
I wave my apparently 'evil' and 'nonhuman' flag high!
^ heartless aro flag (every time I see 'we are not heartless' I have to refrain myself)
