These Baked Lavender Doughnuts are a delightful treat with a subtle floral flavor from dried lavender flowers. They are baked, not fried, making them a healthier option for indulging in a sweet snack.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp baking soda. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/2 cup plain yogurt. 1/4 cup milk. 1 egg. 2 tbsp melted butter. 1 tsp dried lavender flowers. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. For the Lavender Glaze:. 1 cup powdered sugar. 2 tbsp milk. 1/2 tsp dried lavender flowers for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and grease a doughnut pan. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the yogurt, milk, egg, melted butter, dried lavender flowers, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Spoon the batter into the doughnut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the doughnuts spring back when touched. Allow the doughnuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. For the Lavender Glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Dip each cooled doughnut into the glaze, allowing any excess to drip off, and place them back on the wire rack. Sprinkle dried lavender flowers on top of the glaze for garnish. Let the glaze set for about 15 minutes before serving. Enjoy your delicious Baked Lavender Doughnuts!
