Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/3 cup cocoa powder. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup buttermilk. 1/4 cup vegetable oil. 1 large egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 cup caramel sauce. 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips. Sea salt for garnish.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and grease a doughnut pan. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in the caramel sauce and chocolate chips. Spoon the batter into the doughnut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into a doughnut. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
