Music is life

I'm usually not a fan of the Pomodoro Technique but for days when you'd rather lounge around instead of working on ur chemistry homework, I find this technique to be the only thing that helps me get shit done.

Because let's face it, if you don't study you're going to end up feeling guilty for it.

So, set a timer on your phone for 25 minutes and convince yourself to study JUST for this 25 minute period.

Reward urself with a few songs and get back at it.

The key here, I should mention, is that you must have the willpower to continue after ur breaks.

I finally have a minute to freaking…breathe.

Had an exam this morning and the next one is the day after so…I can take today off for myself.

So I haven’t read a single page from a single book in…a week but it feels like it’s been ages.

See, I need a book to keep me sane and to just fall back to thinking about when I need to distract myself which happens more often than you think.

Anyway. So as I’m scrolling through goodreads and scouring through endless blurbs…I find myself being oddly judgmental (never mind not oddly, I’m an asshole).

And so as I’m judging the books before reading them…I’m skipping through several.

And so I thought it’d be fun to see if some of those judgments came true…so here we go.

These are the books I’ll be judging before reading them and then reading them. (teehee)

1. Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score

Okay for this one I’m sensing a shit load of angst.

And the main characters just basically denying their feelings for each other for majority of the book.

Also, since the sunshine-girl trope is present here…I’m saying the girl falls first.

Sunshine people are mushy inside.

I would know *wink wonk*

2. The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley

I’ve read Anxious People by Fredrick Backman about how the neighbors and basically an entire building gets involved into a crime scene.

So…it kinda reminds me of that…also I’m picturing the main character knocking on doors and questioning people expecting them to yell out they did it…idk. Let’s find out. I’ve never read Lucey Foley’s work so…I’m allowed to be a lil skeptical about it.

3. Anatomy a love story by Dana Schwartz

Reading the plot of this kinda gave me Stalking Jack the Ripper vibes…anyone else?

I mean, I’m not complaining I love that series but like…the plot, it’s kinda the same?

Also the way it says a love story in the title…?

I have a feeling the MC loves her surgery stuff…and not in the sense most will perceive this to be..? Or like the guy loves his life or whatever. Just a hunch.
