I love @itsdiamondeyesuniverse's Less Fragile Smooth Hands edit, so I handswapped 82 meshes to include them.

Like many of us, I grew up with Garden of Shadows. To me, it was more than just a forum. It was a place I could ask for help, learn new skills and, best of all, find amazing content in any style I could possibly want. I loved the board names, the people, the themes; everything, really.

And I admit I was more than a little heartbroken to find it gone.

After mulling it over, I decided that I wanted to preserve what I possibly could. I spent a few hours yesterday running through strategies and ideas about how to best go about it, and the best I could come up with was, well, exactly the same.

So, here it is: the Garden of Shadows mirror forum.

I've only just started, but I hope to add a little bit to it every day. The primary focus will be on preserving all the knowledge and custom content. I'm tackling it myself, but if you feel so inclined, you're more than welcome to join in.

Hey all, do you happen to have this cc from midnightgarage ? If I’m not mistaken, the last time I had it was around late 2024. Then in 2025, I wanted to download it again from their site, but the files on OneDrive couldn’t be downloaded. These four objects are my main priority, but if you have more, I’d be really happy since I like to download CC per creator for my dl folder. Thanks!

This is a list of programs that will make your life easier if you're an avid Sims 2 player. Click on program titles to get download links.

SimPE The most known software for The Sims 2 that lets you edit package files. You can do basic stuff like rename a Sim, change family name, edit Sims' genetics as well as edit/create mods. Don't use if you have no idea what you're doing, watch a tutorial first or back up your neighborhood beforehand in case you mess something up! The newest version also has a terrain editor.

Sims2Pack Clean Installer The best program for installing downloaded lots and Sims. Those don't just go into Downloads, you need to install them!

Hood Checker This program checks neighborhood references and can clean out ones that are broken. Also useful for bringing back lost graves (it's still good to have NoUnlinkOnDelete).

HCDU Plus The Hack Conflict Detector Utility lets you scan your Downloads folder to check if you have any mods that edit the same aspect of the game, so can potentially be in conflict. Also useful to navigate which mods load first (load order is important for some mods to work).

What Caused This When you have 'testingcheats' on, the game gives you error messages if there's something going on. Not all of them mean there's a serious problem, but What Caused This can help you navigate what the source is. Upload the log file (Documents/EA/TS2/Logs) in the program, give it your Downloads folder and it will scan it to look for the culprit. Might give you straighforward information on which mod conflict caused the issue or that you lack Smarter EP Check for a mod that requires it.

The Compressorizer You can compress your Downloads to take up less space.

Delphy's Download Organiser You can filter your files to a certain category, scan for orphans (files that don't fully work if other files are missing, such as meshes), duplicates, and clean up your Downloads folder in an easier way than trying to track it inside the folder manually.

Outfit Organiser You downloaded CC clothes that the creator marked as outerwear but you think they don't fit in that category? With this program you can quickly change that! It's also doable in SimPE, but Outfit Organiser is a lot easier to use.

CPack Editor If you want to make plastic surgery genetic, there's no need to do it manually in SimPE, especially if it's more than one Sim. In CPack Editor, you just choose your neighborhood's folder, run the program, and it changes ALL surgery faces in that neighborhood to genetic!

Lot Adjuster This program lets you edit already existing lots. If you want a smaller or bigger lot than possible in-game, you can do it here! Also great for creating pavilions or row houses that are all separate lots, as you can get rid of the 2-tile border separating buildings by making the lots smaller and copying them.

I've always hated how the camera jumps up and down when playing tall and slim buildings. Turns out, it's really easy to fix! It’ll take you less than a minute. All the details under the cut.

“they have to make adaptations for tv!!” - writing errors and boring & dumb scenes aren’t ‘adaptations for tv’, they’re mostly stupid, made-up scenes that don’t serve the story.

“f&b is unreliable” - at least 90% of the time it’s made clear which parts of the story r more likely to be true, you guys r just too dumb to understand.

hotd is not only a bad adaptation, it’s also a bad show on its own since it cannot even be consistent between s1 & s2…

Can i said it? The soon I saw they age down Alicent, i immediately read the book, i had to push a lot my brain to understand that book.

I spend big time laugh, confused, making maths and trying to figured out everything, to inconclusion the book its more interesting that fucking show.

Game of Thrones for me was more interesting, made me crying, traumatized, etc and now has HOTD im laughing like very hard, its like im watching a fucking circus, i had to skip every scenes of some actress with puppy eyes all scenes, like girl ☠️.

There's this person MissChipsa (Estrella | Estele) that has a Medieval gameplay ModPack 1.31 up on Patreon (with a paywalled version), this is a 7.3GB re-upload of a TON of mods...and when I say a ton, I mean a ton....

Please don't download mod packs like this (even though it goes against many creators' TOU)...to name a few reasons:

You can't be sure the mods are up to date

You may not know what you're actually installing

Many mods have specific install instructions that require the user to read the instructions

Many mods have "choose your own" files and/or require "helper files" (looking at you food mods)

If you're tagged, then your mods are included--if you already knew about this and/or its not against your TOU, then please ignore me!!

Reuploading your mods folder, or creating mod packs like this, not only goes against most people's TOU but it does also cause complications for the users. If mods are out of date, you'll end up with errors that can cause big problems if left alone. Similarly, many mods have packages for you to delete if you don't own certain packs.

Mod packs like this are deceitful to the users and disrespectful to the creators. It might sound like a quicker way to download mods to fit your gameplay but quicker doesn't always mean better. Not for you as downloaders and certainly not for us as modders.

So if you're using my mods, make sure you get them from my website because you can guarantee they're up to date. And, as always, please read download and installation instructions from the modders pages; NOT from someone who's reuploaded the mods.

Okay, I'm gonna be honest about this because it's seriously bothering me. I hesitated to say something about this for a long time because I do not want to platform that code thief. I'm also not a fan of drama, I know how stressful that is for all parties and I normally try to stay out of it. Unfortunately, this theft just keeps coming back and seriously upsetting me so I have to say something about this.

My code has been stolen. To be exact: the vendor code from Sun&Moon. To be specific: a very specific version of the Laundry mod.

And by stealing, I mean passing off someone else's work as their own and encouraging others to utilize said stolen code.
