Multiple sources, both known Tumblr people and a Reddit post, have confirmed that Jellypawss crowdfunding for a new PC sometime about 8 months ago judging by the Reddit thread's time is true, I couldnât find the post where Jellypawss did, but numerous people have said it happened and I know they have crowdfunded a lot for other matters in the past such as their mother - which is fine by itself. Crowdfunding alone is not an issue.
But DAMN does it look bad when youâre bragging about your earnings whilst asking others to supplement it.
I donât agree with âreal jobâ bullshit, for the record - I get sick of office workersâ obsession with that word - but if you can brag about your earnings whilst using AI in your workflow at various points, stealing coding from others and not optimising your content, and therefore not charging for things you actually put full effort into, then why do you need other people to fund your new PC?
ÂŁ11.7k (rounding up) a month, right, if we're dividing it evenly. Thatâs enough to buy a new PC for gaming even if you spread the cost a bit over two or three months.
I realise I have added this up in a bit of a rudimentary fashion, not in a realistic one - and for that I apologise, I typed this in a rush at work and should have thought more. But I believe that, even if it wasn't that even an amount of money a month, that still means you had a few good months where you could have bought a PC. Or saved up over 2-3 months to buy one.
I donât want to hear any more racist fucks calling all Palestinians scammers. Not a single one of you. Not when someone earning$140 a year on stolen code is asking you to buy a PC for them.
