I’m SICK of you guys saying Ithkuil is “The hardest language to cast spells in or speak in general”. COME ONNNN, I’ve constructed several completely intelligible sentences with a lot of expertise and doublechecking and nothing bad ever happened. spells can’t be that much harder. no enslaving the resurrectees. even if they seem like mindless zombies, you don’t know that for sure. you still have human rights even if youre dead.
if you’re going to revive/resurrect people in a corporeal way, please make sure to make sure their body will be as intact as possible. you have no idea how many times someone did the spell wrong and accidentally turned their resurrectee into a suffering corpse-beast.
frankensteining shit up is only legally acceptable if the parts were donated to magiscience. otherwise it’s corpse desecration.
please think about the stability of the timeline before resurrecting famous or historical figures. the time wizards who are supposed to be managing this are negligent as hell unless it’s gonna cause a world-shattering catastrophe or irreparable timeline damage, though.
the deader, older, or obscurer the language, the better. this is why latin is such a stereotypical “summoning undead forces” language; all the good necromancers use it because it’s reliable.
if you don’t know any dead languages, pick a language that you think the actual person or people you’re trying to revive would understand.
necromancy is exhausting, so please choose an incantation language that’s not hard on your vocal cords.
necrodivination is both a lot easier and harder than corporeal necromancy on the linguistic front, because it doesn’t involve any fancy preparation chants, but if you don’t have a secondary soul-connection stabilizer spell built into the spell, some thoughts from your dead contact may not be coherent enough to convert to any actual language.

tried to use Litzy’s Monochrome Cityscape to get to. yknow. The Cityscape. don’t think there’s a better name for it yet.
i did it all right. got all the material components lined up. sad Eastern-European-style postpunk music playing in the background, a small gray, black, or white rock, five candles arranged in a circle, and a spoken and written incantation in russian. surprisingly simple spell really.

what type of rock did you use?
nah nah nah, i’ve tried that spell with many types of rock and nothing happened. I think that just happens when you use music that isn’t in Russian. I once used a song that was in Spanish and ended up on a deserted island made entirely out of paper-mache. basic incantation-component language mismatch.
oh yeah i had the exact same problem! i never had problems with using belarusian or ukrainian songs as ambience when i tried it, though. weird

is fictiomancy real or nah? i keep hearing online that it’s a myth, but lingwizards keep talking about how the different dub(s) of the “source material” they use for fictiomancy summonings changes the character slightly. i need to know if they’re bullshitting me.
oh my god, I’ve been wanting to talk about this forever! yes, fictiomancy is real. most people think it doesn’t work due to newbie fandom wizards doing it wrong and failing the spells, but it’s real and actually really cool because it’s technically both summoning and constructcraft!
a character construct can be summoned via collecting materials related to the character in question (the more the better) and casting a number of interconnected spells. it’s a very delicate process and changing one detail can make a vastly different result. even changing the language the source material is written in changes the character very slightly due to localization differences in the translation as compared to the original!
Sometimes it also changes the character’s default language to the main language used, but if it’s specified in the spell constraints that the character speaks their original language, not the one they’re dubbed into, some parts of their dialogue will seem “off” compared to the original, as if ran through a machine translator!
I’m concerned, if someone summons an ultra-powerful supervillain, can that end the world?
No, you can’t make world-destroying supervillains because you can’t make constructs that are more magically powerful than yourself unless you have a fuckton of extra magic stored up. Toon force and genre aura are intrinsic to personality, though. We learned that the hard way.

The well-known spell “Litzy’s Monochrome Cityscape” on HexJunction is mislabeled. It has been temporarily taken offline and will be updated with more accurate information.
Apparently, one spell component, listed as “ambience of Eastern-European-style post-punk music”, was not tested with languages outside the Slavic language family. Upon being attempted with non-Slavic languages, it sent the user to the wrong dimension. Further investigation will be needed.
