I’ll never understand why anthropomorphic animal cartoons like Robin Hood and Zootopia will go to the trouble of creating character designs that are meant to be understood as “attractive” or even “sexy” to the human audience but explicitly avoid showing interspecies romances between anthropomorphic animals. Why is THAT weird but, like, trying to make rabbits recognizably sexy-coded to humans isn’t?

The best inter species couple is Kermit and Miss Piggy as the Cratchits in A Muppet Christmas Carol, because all their sons are frogs and all their daughters are pigs, as God clearly intended.

Rocky who is very much aware of the power dynamic between him and Grace. Grace is alive only because of Rocky, Grace can communicate with other Eridians only because of Rocky and the organ. Grace is limited to his biodome, and Rocky has the final say over what said dome looks like. If Grace wants anything, he'll have to ask Rocky. And Rocky kind of loves it. He knows it's not a good thing that the dynamic makes his hearts flutter and his insides feel comfortably warm, but still he loves it. It's not about having the power to ruin this being's life, but about having the power to keep it alive. Grace will get good food, because Rocky said so. Grace will get healthy again, because Rocky made sure of it. Grace will be happy, because Rocky gives him everything he could want. Rocky saw his human wither away and almost die and he fixed it. He could fix it and he did and there's nothing on Erid that makes him feel better. Nothing compares to Grace's gratitude and the sound of healthy organs working away inside of him, of the sound of his smile, his laughter, his soft snoring, the feeling of his arms around Rocky. Rocky is in total control and it's good.
