Hahah I should be focusing on my current wips right? But instead let us instead flesh more of this idea out.
Like my Werewolf Steve HC, Steve has been nicked by a Demogorgon when saving Jon and Nancy back in S1; He was then bitten by Demodogs in the junkyard in S2; and now the bats in S4 but he has also consumed bat blood in turn. So, his transformation is slightly different to what Eddie will become. Steve develops the flower petal mouth of the Demodogs, the clawed feet AND hands of the Demogorgon, tail and a set of bat wings akin to the Demobats. I imagine his legs would also transform when he shifts between his more human appearance to mimic that of the Demogorgan. Steve's eyes would also turn white like cataracts.
In comparison Eddie develops the more vampir-esque jaw FULL of sharp teeth (not just the canines), the clawed hands, three tails and of a set of bat wings. Eddie's eyes black out completely.
They form their own hivemind between them which runs parallel to the UD hivemind. This means they can communicate with the UD creatures to a certain extent the bats are the easiest, then the demodogs etc.
Eventually they are able to shift between a more human appearance and their Demo-form. Steve still has silvery scars denoting where his face would split, while Eddie's teeth would remain sharper than expected of a regular human but not quite enough to draw attention. They both retain the black stained fingers (and feet in Steve's case) in their human forms. Steve's vision would also be affected in his human form, requiring a significant glasses prescription to deal with.
But of course, we also need to consider how do they discover this?
Consider this: Steve, Robin and Nancy finding Dustin with a non-responsive Eddie. I personally don't believe that Steve wouldn't know enough first aid to immediately snap into action (You are going to tell me that boy DIDN'T brush up on first aid after he ended up adopted by a gaggle of children with a perchance for trouble? He didn't have to work as a lifeguard to refresh his first aid knowledge. Dumbass Duffers!). Anyway, he would grill Dustin for information before immediately starting CPR regardless of the earth quaking. EVENTUALLY he successfully restarts Eddie's heart, having also been instructing Robin (and eventually Dustin) in how to put pressure on Eddie's numerous critical wounds and strapping them to buy them time to get him to a hospital.
Having wasted more time than they likely had, with Eddie as stable as they can manage the group head for the gate. However, to get Eddie through safely Steve has to go through last with his unconscious deadweight to hand him over to the girls.
The gate has been slowly closing this whole time, so what happens when before Steve can get Eddie or himself through it rapidly seals?!?
Now Steve is trapped in the Upside Down with a critically injured comrade. What would he do - after beating the shit out of the sealed gate in a panic - he sets about figuring out how to get Eddie to the Upside-Down version of the Hospital. Afterall the Upside Down is simply Hawkin's but like contaminated and evil right?
Thus begins Steve's journey to protect his injured friend and get them somewhere he can hopefully keep them safe.
At this point no one should be surprised I still have more fic ideas about these two idiots.
Yes, I have indeed copied all these ideas into my fic ideas document to review later when I have hopefully gotten a little further ahead in my chapter count for How to be Loved, and Red Strings. I am trying not to overload myself with half-finished wips... but I have a feeling this one is going to be begging to be written the more I think about it... depends on its reception amongst all of you I suppose too. The more interaction the more motivated to write I become even if I do write for my own satisfaction (external accountability does indeed help the ADHD side of my brain focus and commit even if I am already writing)
This is also one of those times where I am incredibly gutted that I do not have the talent or skill to draw these boys. Guess I will have to stick to writing about them and hope it inspires someone with the skillset to do so. (*/ω＼*)
