Did you know that this year Jean took Jere to see the Northern Lights for his birthday!?

Jeremy is working off nostalgia from his childhood and Jean never got a real childhood, so he can’t say no to these small humans little eyes and pudgy hands reaching for him, asking for one more cookie.

They read them stories and take turns doing the funny voices, making the kids laugh. Their own children, grown into people Jeremy and Jean are proud of, stand in the doorway and shake their heads. “Haven’t changed the voices since I was a kid?”

Jeremy laughs. “You can’t beat a classic!”

They leave with more food than they can carry, because Jeremy loves taking care of people. They sit together on the couch and hold hands, Jeremy massaging Jean’s hands where arthritis is starting to set in, Jean thumbing over the laugh lines at the corners of Jeremy’s eyes.
